...I wish she'd start really measuring her ingredients! ...

Measure??? Who measures???

Seriously .. I never measure
(except when I bake cakes or muffins or such).

When I try a new recipe I measure and after that I just eye it ... I made her 'Meatloaf Muffins' and it called for 2 tablesppons of Montreal Steak Seasoning. I thought DH & I were going to vomit it was sooo overpowering.

Re: Food Network watchers...........

I didn't know she got engaged - I'll have to watch again and check out the ring! I had gotten SO SICK of hearing her say 1,000 times during the show, 'oh this smells SO good'. That plus she talks way too much with her hands, and I'm sick of hearing about her Italian grandpa
I guess her dad's side of the family (the non-Italian side) isn't so interesting?
Her goofy laugh grates on my nerves too.

I do love the garbage bowl idea! Some of her little tips and tricks are actually helpful, but ugh that voice

Anybody ever watch Paula Deen? Now HER voice is adorable - she reminds me of DH's family. The woman puts a cup of mayo in EVERYTHING though!

Re: Food Network watchers...........

I do the garbage bowl now and love it - my workspace is so much cleaner!
And I bought the Santuko knife and love it. I am much more comfortable with that than a chef's knife.
But the EVOO, Extra Virgin Olive Oil (all said together) and her giggle grates my nerves.

Oh I forgot about the Santoku knife - I bought one because of her too and I use it all the time. It's so much easier to use than my heavy 8' chef's knife.

And she's always wearing tight black pants, did anyone ever notice that?

I think my DH is in love with Giada from Everyday Italian...well, with her cleavage anyhow.

What is UP with the cleavage-showing shirts that she always wears?

I do love her recipes though, and I bought her cookbook recently. It's really good!

Fh doesnt trust her- he says she's too thin to be eating what she cooks. Therefore the food must be bad.

I guess that's why she always acts like she's so in LOVE with her OWN food!! Looks like she's having an ****** whenever she tastes it

I think she is even worse on $40 a day.
and please $40 a day on food is no bargain!

and my new most hated word
YUM-O

The only reason it's $40 aday is because she's a horrible tipper!!1 If you look at the tab at the end she tips like $1.50 if I was her waiter I'd rub her sandwich on the floor!!!!

What's the garbage bowl idea?

She puts a big plastic bowl next to her when she preps so all the garbage goes in the garbage bowl (instead of walking over to the garbage pail or sink).

I kinda like Good Eats even Alton Brown is a little cooky - those skits!

But my all time favorite is Food 911 with Tyler Florence. I don't know what's more yummy - the food, or HIM
