Does anyone watch Semi-Homemade?
Is slapping together jello pudding, nilla wafer and cool whip really considered homemade?
I know I hate that show.

Me too. Sara Lee reminds me of a Stepford Wife. Too perfect.

I thought she looked a little too glassy-eyed.

no, it's SEMI homemade!

I haven't seent he show, but I have the cookbook. I made a semi homeade cake for Easter & my grandmother said it didn't 'taste like medicine' like packaged cakes. ( it did start wwith cake micxthough)
DH objects to all the cheez wiz in the entree recipes though.
ETA- It's SANDRA lee. Sara Lee makes the pound cake

And I also wanted to add that after watching the Iron Chef... me and FH go around calling each other and the dog 'Queesan' (or whatever the name is)

The Japanese Iron chef guy dresses like a cross between Liberace and the older ELvis.

I love watching Jacques Torres because I love hearing him say 'chocolat' with his French accent
And I love Ina Garten (although she needs some wardrobe help - she always wears those botton down shirts with the collar standing up!)

Believe me, I am GETTING to be the size of a house! But his chocolates are prohibitively expensive, so that helps keep me away.

I'm glad someone mentioned that show. They film it with such a soft focus that all the food looks gross to me because the whole show is soft looking from the camera filter. Do you know what I mean?
