Hmm, I guess our wedding is more afternoon/early evening. The ceremony is at 3pm, the CH 3:30 - 4:30, the reception 4:30-8:30.

We are getting married at the hall. We are taking our pics during the CH.

Our church is at 5:30 and our reception (which is 15-20 minutes away) starts at 7:30. BUT we are doing all pics before the church.

What time is everyone's ceremony on Friday night. I booked my hall with a 6:30 ceremony and 7:00 reception (CH)...Doesn't that sound impossible??? I am NOT taking pics before ceremony because I'm old fashioned in that sense? Should I change the ceremony to 5:30 or do you think that would be really cutting it close?

Also my affair is 5 hour w/ CH...if I wanted to add an extra hour does anyone have an idea of how much that would be?

Right now we have 6:30 on the invite. Ceremony wil be at 7PM, CH 7:30-8:30 and dinner 8:30-12:30. We do want to be at the cocktail hour so we'll take pictures before the ceremony. We're getting married in November too and I think it gets dark early so we don't want to wait until after the ceremony.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM interesting the westbury manor said they could not accommodate a Friday night ceremony.
My ceremony starts at 7:30 my ch is 8-9 and the reception is from 9-1 yeah. At the fox hollow. I am taking pictures before hand. I don't want to miss the ch. I thought this start time was to late but I cannot change this unfortunately. theyt have set start times so weddings do not run into each other.

Me too!

We are going to take pics after the church and join our guests in the cocktail hour. That way, we don't 'miss' our reception by having to go around and talk to everyone... we can do that at the cocktail hour.

My ceremony was at 1pm in Ridgewood, Quens, and the CH began at 4:30 pm in Huntington Harbor. We did photographs t the CH, b/c it was to friggin cold to do them outside

Our ceremony is at 3:30 at the church and the CH starts at 7:00. Our reception is at least 1/2 hour away from the church and we plan on taking pics in between church/reception.

My parents will have guests back to their house so they're not stumped on what to do during the time gap.

Sounds like you should move your ceremony to an earlier time so you'll have time to take your pics.
