Gifts for parents

Any ideas on a meaningful, not too expensive gift for our parents? Just a 'thank you for your love and support' momento........

You know your guests - if the extra time would be valuable to you or your guests, then send them early!

Any and all feedback would be very appreciated!

Gifts for parents

Hi Karen: If you pickup a bridal magazine, they have, in the back, all these advertisements for catalogs and gifts. I saw, for the moms, these beautiful hankerchiefs that have an inscription sort of like "For all the times you've dried my tears, etc.etc". I'm sure they have others as well. Also, you might want to give them a hand made video case and get them a copy of your video, etc.

I have to ask honestly..is the wedding really worth all this aggravation? It's ultra expensive, it lasts for a few hours and then it's over...great that you have memories...but from my 10 married friends I've heard that most people are so sick on their honeymoon from the stress. eight out of ten wishes that they had had something small and saved the cash for a mortage....funny after you look back, how it changes....

I confronted my mother-in-law to be...confronted my fiance and said "small" or nothing....after much bickering and arguing...we're having a fairly small brunch at the Three Village Inn..they do almost everything for you....honestly if they didn't...I'd just elope...if you all let this five hour event make you sick...you won't have the strength to survive the first battle over whose house you are going to spend the holidays at.....Take your vitamins......and good luck...JessicaE

Gifts for parents

I JUST GOT MARRIED THIS PAST DEC AND FOR MY MOTHER I HAD A POEM MADE FOR HER AND ON ONE SIDE OF THE POEM IS A PICTURE OF ME AND HER WHEN I WAS JUST A BABY AND ON THE OTHER SIDE IT SAID A PICTURE OF YOU AND ME ON MY WEDDING DAY. I ALSO DID THE SAME THING FOR MY DAD. I GAVE THAT TO THEM AT THE REHEARSEL DINNER, THEN THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING I HAD HANKIES HAD FOR THEM..

We saw Dante at the expo the other night and they definitely had a nice selection. Also, the guy at the booth was very helpful, We went down today and booked our tuxes for July and were able to try tuxes on in the store.

I wish you all the best (its not easy, i know). Let me know how you make out. :)
