Will it be white? JMO it really should fit and not have spaces between the pieces showing skn because it looks like you are too big for it.

Good luck

WOW That was a little rude.

I think she's saying that with the spaces and skin showing may give the appearance that a person is too big for it....not necessarily her.

Thats what I thought she meant as well...

and to tell you all the truth, if you felt I looked bad in something and gave me suggestions to make it more flattering, I wouldn't be insulted - I would appreciate the input - I mean, that is why we are posting and asking, right? We have to be prepared for whatever feedback we get!!!

I say - if kids will be there, hell - its a wedding - they have seen more risque stuff without somethign sacred like a wedding going on, so I think they'll be able to handle it. It definitely is unique, and something you (and everyone else!) will remember - go for it - its the 1st leather wedding dress I have ever seen - I think I would love it in white - that would be so cool - a white leather wedding dress with the ties and everything, but I know you said you wanted black...

Cant wait to see pics!!

Re: Girls I know I'm pushing it...

Wow! I cant believe some of the rude comments on this! Especially about the one 'fitting into the dress'. Honestly, gimme a break...It's not her and if it was I would be HIGHLY offended..not everyone is a size 2. Theres so many different people in this world, and I don't think that was appropriate for you to say...

ANYWAYS, I think you should pick what YOU like and if you think it fits your theme of ur wedding, I say go for it.

Like my mother always said...if u dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything

Re: Girls I know I'm pushing it...

I guess I am a little too traditional. I'm all about the beautiful, white, fancy gown and tiara and veil. Oh well, if that is your thing than go for it, who are we to judge.

Re: Girls I know I'm pushing it...

Bonnie, if you really love it, then go for it. Maybe you could make some alterations to it so it can be a little more 'appropriate' for a wedding. Lace it up tighter and put in some panels so you are not showing so much skin.

Are you still planning on wearing the red cape with it?

Re: Girls I know I'm pushing it...

Okay I went to go see a movie and I came back and saw 55 comments, I couldn't believe it. I just wanted to know if I went WAY TOO over board! LOL Girls your all great.
Question 1. What am I putting in my hair.
I want to wear ribbons and a few flowers. I want to keep most of my hair down. Its very renaissance. Which is the look I really want.

Question 2
People have asked if I'm going over the top, the thing is, my FH and I are both really really into this. We love the look and reinacting. To us this isn't a tad over the top.

Question 3
My skirt is going to be long in the back, but the top is going up to my knees. Its also going to be black leather. I so love this top. I can't believe the guy pratically read my mind. All I did was tell him about my FH and I.

Comment:
Girls I honestly didn't anything to heart. I'm not mad, people gave their honest opinions and THAT IS WHAT I WANTED! You were great and even though I wasn't offended, I really do apperate the fact that most of you stood up for me. That was very sweet.
I'm going to ask that the front of the dress be laced up better. I do worry about kids. I figured that with the cloak, the skirt and all the other people dressed up, I think it won't be so bad. Girls thank you ALL again! I'm glad I left the knot to come here!

Oh and someone asked what my theme is, its medieval-renaissancish.

I couldn't agree more. Bonnie's title to her thread even states, 'I know I'm pushing it.' She knows her audience (hopefully!), so there is no reason we can't be honest...but a
little tact goes a long way.

With that said, since I believe it is your reception dress, you may have issues dancing in it since it does show a lot of 'cleav.' The original leather dress may be more appropriate and comfortable for that reason.
