Re: Girls not getting married on your anniversary..
There is no rule as to what you can celebrate. Why not celebrate both? Our anniversary has been November 7 for the past 7 years and will soon be May 21 when we are married. But I think we'll still celebrate on November 7 as well, even if it is just to go out to dinner or something.

Re: Girls not getting married on your anniversary..
I think the big one is the wedding anniversary however I don't think you should forget about your other anniversary. The last three years on our dating anniversary (Feb. 9) we go back to the restaurant (Matteos) where our first date was. We actually just booked our rehearsal dinner there!!!
Do something even if its just dinner and talk about the first time you met!! It will give you some butterflies!!

My grandmother passed away on our 3rd anniversary - so I will be happy to have a new one (only 3 days later!)

Re: Girls not getting married on your anniversary..
we have only had two dating anniversaries. I am sure we will say to each other 'this is the day we met,' but our wedding anniversary will be the one we recognize as our 'official' anniversary.

Re: Girls not getting married on your anniversary..
Were gonna do both- our old anniversary is 1/25 new is 4/08 - on 1/25 we will probably do a small gift and then dinner- since without that date you wouldnt have the new one!!!

I AGREE! I love to get presents especially since my birthday & x-mas are in the winter. I need some occasions to celebrate in the summer & fall.
I justed asked FH and he said that on our 'official' anniversary with be July 3rd but that we'll always go out to dinner on September 10th. That works!

We are getting married a few days before our 7 year anniversary (which is Oct. 31st), I think in the future we will probaly celebrate the two dates and possibly our engagement date which was Aug. 1st.

Re: Girls not getting married on your anniversary..
We will always have our 'first' anniversary of when we started dating, and celebrate our other special days.... but our new anniversary with the most meaning will surely be 10/7 (also the date we got engaged :) )

Re: Girls not getting married on your anniversary..
Yes, we've 'changed' our anniversary. We actually tried to get married on our anniversary but it didn't work out, so we picked a date one week later. What's so funny is, this year we didn't even think to celebrate our original anniversary date, though that is the date DH proposed!Welcome New Vendors
