We were thinking of using The Beautiful people by Marlyn Manson, but were not sure how it would go over. How did it go over?

Re: Grand Entrance Songs
Kinda ghetto but I want 'Bring 'Em Out' 9the end of the song which just says 'Bring 'em Out' over and over again). I love the beat and I love the song. FH says it is too ghetto. I do not think so.

Re: Grand Entrance Songs
I heard of a couple that walked in to 'Every thug needs a lady.' I heard it was really cute! Especially since the groom is really comical and FAR from being a thug.

The people who knew the song were cracking up and cheering and the people who didn't, well... they clapped to the intense beat anyway. We only played the beginning so you could only hear the actual lyrics a few times.

We're doing Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses.
We are using sweet child o mine by G N R also. I love the guitar rif in the begining of the song to build up the entrance.
My FH picked the song and after listening and thinking I think it will work.

Re: Grand Entrance Songs
Bumping for more. . .Here's another one I was thinking of. Its a really swingy Ella Fitzgerald tune. I'm thinking of keeping the music in the first half of the reception really old-timey and classic.
Here are the lyrics:
HOORAY FOR LOVE
It's the wonder of the world, it's a rocket to the moon
It gets you high, it gets you low, but once you get that glow...
Here's to my best romance, here's to my worst romance
Here's to my first romance - ages ago
Here's to the boys i've kissed, and to complete the list
Here's to the boys who said 'no!'
Love, love, hooray for love
Who was ever too blase for love
Make this the night for love
If we have to fight, let's fight for love
Some sigh and cry for love
Ah, but in pa-ree they die for love
Some waste away for love
Just the same - hooray for love!
It's the rocket to the moon, with a touch of 'clare de lune'
It gets you high, it gets you low, but once you get that glow...
Some trust to fate for love,
Others have to take off weight for love
Some go berzerk for love
Loafers even go to work for love
Sad songs are sobbed for love
People have their noses bobbed for love
Some say we pay for love
Just the same - hooray for love!

We used the Beautiful People from Marilyn Manson.
We were going to use this too, but instead used the beginning of 'Got the Life' by KoRn. We were going to use 'Blind', but were too worried that it would sound like a wrestler's entrance song.
aaaaaaaarrrrreeee you ready????
This made my day perfect. I got to hear my type of music at my wedding.. since I knew the rest of the day I wouldnt be able to pull off hard rock without people's heads exploding.

Re: Grand Entrance Songs
we were thinking of doing the theme song for 'Austin Powers'. it would be really funny and i know there are a couple other brides on here who were thinking of/used it too. our first dance is classy frank sinatra song so i dont know if that would blend very well or does that even matter?? we also thought of 'in the mood' that swing song. i think i might be leaning that way again.

Re: Grand Entrance Songs
We went to a wedding where they used the theme from Monday Night Football. That is also FH's ringtone on his cell. Not a fan but I understand and appreciate that.We havent decided on any songs yet but I love this song as either an entrance song or a cake cutting song:
More Today Than Yesterday
( by Spiral Starecase )
I don't remember what day it was
I didn't notice what time it was
All I know is that I fell in love with you
And if all my dreams come true
I'll be spending time with you
Every day's a new day in love with you
With each day comes a new way of loving you
Every time I kiss your lips my mind starts to wander
And if all my dreams come true
I'll be spending time with you
Oh, I love you more today than yesterday
But not as much as tomorrow
I love you more today than yesterday
But, darling, not as much as tomorrow
Tomorrow's date means springtime's just a day away
Cupid, we don't need ya now, be on your way
I thank the lord for love like ours that grows ever stronger
And I always will be true
I know you feel the same way too
Oh, I love you more today than yesterday
But not as much as tomorrow
I love you more today than yesterday
But only half as much as tomorrow
