Greek bands - Powerstation or Nikos Koutras?

Hi guys, I am trying to book a band for our wedding and I have spoken to Powerstation (Christos Lambropoulos) and Nikos Koutras. They both have great reputations from what I've heard, but the problem I am having with Lambropoulos is that his 'main' band is booked for my wedding date and he can't tell me who will be singing and playing that day. That makes me VERY uncomfortable. To top it off, that band isn't playing anytime soon so we can't go watch them. They sent me a contract and I practically rewrote the whole thing and sent it back (I didn't sign it).

Nikos Koutras, on the other hand, will be the one singing, I will know which girl will sing (Anthi or Rena?) and who the DJ is etc and I can go watch him at a gig at Plato's in Astoria next weekend.

In terms of pricing, Powerstation is a tad more expensive, but the difference is negligible. What would you guys do? Are you familiar with either of them?

I didn't have a pleasant experience with Power station during our meeting. I'll send you an FM.

Time to go home

Re: Greek bands - Powerstation or Nikos Koutras?

Hey guys! An update to my post above... if any other Greek brides are wondering about what band to book, FH and I went to Plato's last night to watch Nikos Koutras perform and he was phenomenal! What a voice! This guy can sing anything and he is SO nice. We were dancing for hours straight, too. We are definitely booking him! The only thing I don't know yet is who I want as a female vocalist, but he seems so accomodating, I'm not too worried.

Yes Nikos is awesome!!! THe female vocalist that sings with him is Rena, she is ok, not great and I dont think she has much experience but you can probably ask for another female vocalist
