Re: Greek Brides??
Hi girls, just though I'd let everyone know that my FBIL got married last Saturday & his wedding was great! The band they had was Delta & they were incredible. I was really happy about that because we booked them for our wedding without ever hearing them, and I was nervous, but they were so good, they really made the wedding!

He got married at St. Demetrios in Jamaica & the reception was at Sand Castle. The wedding was very nice, everyone had a great time.

That's great to know, I'm just praying for nice weather because I really want to have an outdoor cocktail hour. Did your brother have it outdoors?

Re: Greek Brides??
My inlaws are coming to stay with us (while our house is under construction)...should be fun. I don't have a kitchen so we will probably go out to eat. My inlaws live in Greece, and are leaving next week, so I'm sure they will want to go shopping. I did want to go to the beach but I don't think I'll be able to.

Irene - At least you'll get some shopping done & the weekend will be somewhat productive.Georgia - When does your class end? I actually should be working on my grad school applications this weekend, but laziness has hit me!
My best friend is leaving for Greece later today, she's staying 2 whole months. I'm going to miss her

Hey! My class is over mid july but i still have to study - the bar is on the 27th and 28th :( NOT FUN!! I am really not enjoying myself and pretty freaked out about this exam. Where are you applying to grad school? I hated applying to law school - those applications are so annoying!

Thanks!!
We bought them in Athens.. a town near Ano Lioussa (sp). We went to two stores.. the first one did not have a large selection but the second one did. I don't have a pic of them. I gave them to our koumbaro.. They are silver.. very plain... just clear stones around them.

I decided to only apply to grad schools that are in LI, so I can take the train home from work and just drive to school, instead of being in the city till 9-9:30 some nights. So I'm only applying to Hofstra & Adelphi, I was going to apply to St. John's also, but I received my undergrad from there & want to get my MBA from a different school.
I hate applications also!! I can't wait till I'm done with them, now if only I can find the motivation to start my essays!
Just think how relieved you'll be on July 29 & it'll be here before you know it. Make sure you plan something fun & relaxing right after the bar so you can unwind from all the studying & stress.

How about that soccer game.....I was so happy Greece won. I was in Astoria and what a site. I've never experienced anything like that before. Everyone was in the streets with their flags and chanting the songs. Anyone else there?Welcome New Vendors
