Guests inviting other guests

I recently received an RSVP from a cousin who responded for himself "and a guest - 2 will attend". But I only invited him!

We're paying for this ourselves and none of the other guests were invited with 'a guest' - each invite was personalized. I'm also a little offended that he's telling me who he's bringing instead of asking......

How do I handle this?

I would call him and gently let him know that you are thrilled that he will he attending, but that b/c you are paying for this reception yourselves you were unable to invite guests. Apologize for the incovenience, but do not bend. You made a decision when you wrote out that invite. Stick to it.

How do I handle this?

I agree with Rosalyn. Dont let in... if everyone decides to do that, then you have a big problem on your hands. I am sure he will understand. GOOD LUCK!!

Did you bring your dresses to the stores in order to match the color/edging/pattern??? How did you handle it?
