Message for you brides(long)

Ladies, Please allow mw to explain any misinformation you have read. Yes, I do handle Louisa`s bookings,as well as the brides for hair. This is very recent, Up until The newsday article came out. When this came out Louisa got swamped with phone calls. She knew I was interested in the wedding planning/ consulting business so she hired me to handle her bookings. She knows I am very organized and that i will be on top of everything. No, i do not get 'kickbacks'. I get a paid salary. Not only do I book brides, I handle any questions, i do follow up phone calls, and i confirm appointments. I handle the makeup and hair to avoid confusion with the salons receptionists. this way you are only dealing with one person. Since I am trying to start my own wedding planning/ consulting business. Once I become a planner then 'yes' i will get kickbacks from all the vendors i choose to refer brides to . Thats how they make money and get good referrals from vendors. One hand washes the other. But no kickbacks until then. Secondly, this is a website for Brides helping Brides. Since I was a bride last April, i went on this website to share my advice; just as you all do, some of whom are married as well. Also this is a good way to for me to see what vendors the brides like and dislike. You are the best referrals. When I first joined the website, i was not handling these bookings. This has only been a recent comeabout. since the article in newsday came out , Louisa hasn`t been able to handle this on her own, thats where I came in.If you check my old postings you will see that I posted messages for the vendors that i used, but also for advice any brides needed. Most of the brides solicit vendors they like, of course they do. Isn`t this website' brides helping Brides'??? I do apologize for my annoying posts, but please understand that I wouldn`t refer you brides to someone I was not confident in. Louisa is 1 of a million makeup artists in the new york area. But she is the only one that does airbrushed makeup. Actually the other makeup artist that does it is the one that does the 'celebrities' and the ' friends ' cast. Everything that I posted about the makeup was from my own experience when I had the airbrushed makeup done for my own wedding, as well as patti & angela doing my hair and my bridesmaids. Like I stated before, I have posted on this site for other vendors that i liked, some of which i didn`t use, but heard good things about, and even offered advice as well as pictures of the glass carriage i rode to the church in.I am always on this site because it`s part of my researchfor my consulting/ planning services. Obviously if you all love a particular photographer, videographer, or any other vendor that you have more good things to say than bad things. they may be vendors that I might want to do business with in the future. Some brides were raving about other hair and makeup artists, as well as certain vendors. How do we know that they too, arent the vendor themselves?? I`m sure it happens. Once again ladies, I do apologize for my annoying posts as well as soliciting that you may have felt that I have done. I was only trying to offer my advice, as we ALL have done. maybe I took it to the extreme. I enjoy working with brides, for a wedding is a happy occasion. Please don`t hold this against me or Louisa, or Patti for that matter. They have nothing to do with this website. Louisa and Patti are very talented and love what they do and it shows. Sorry this is so long, but I can`t sit back and have people bad mouth me without me explaining myself. Thank you for listening

Since you now get a paid salary from Louisa, you belong on the Vendor Site--despite the fact that you were recently married. And if you had been using this site all along through your wedding planning, then you would know that this is not the place to solicit business. That is why Vendors Helping Brides was created.

Isn`t it ironic...To Wendy please read

I have been posting here for almost 1 1/2 years and we have the same name. Could you maybe add a last initial to yours so the postings do not get confused. I am getting married 9/23/01. Thanks

Wendy $$

It's the same Wendy as before. There is another Wendy on this site that requested I change my name to avoid confusion. I am now WendyW. As far as cost goes I believe it was $85 for the make up and $40 for hair trial with Patti.

Question for Wendy

I have to say it would be extremely good coverage. It feel light because of the way it is applied. But I like a complete coverage look and I was very satifisfied. I did a little of my own research before I did the trial. People use it to cover scars and freckles. Check out these sites... www.airbrushshoppe.com www.makeupmania.com let me know how it goes. GOOD LUCK!
