Can anyone recommend a good hair and/or makeup person who will come to my hotel room on a Sunday morning at about 6:00 a.m. My pictures are at 9:00. A couple of friends told me they booked theirs 6 months in advance, so I'm falling behind. Thanks!

We're doing that, too! Our little apartment has more meaning to us than any posh hotel. Besides, then we won't feel as bad splurging that extra little while on the actual honeymoon out of town :-)

Hi! I've been reading on this site for months now because everyone here has great info! I live in Massachusetts but am getting married on LI. I've heard about Janet Bari on this site before but was wondering what her charges are. I went to her website and she seemed very good. I am on a tight budget and am having my BM's & MOH's hair done for them as their gift. Thanks in advance!

She quoted me $100 for me and $100 for my MoH (if she was also doing a MoB, the MoH/MoB would be $75 each)...+ $25 for travel. $30 for trial.

She seemed very nice but is also out of my budget. The Milleridge referred me to 2 folks for makeup and hair. I left messages for them tonight...I'll post the info when I hear back from them.

Does anyone know the cost for the bridal suite for the Mariott in Uniondale? From what I've heard The Garden City Hotel is definetly not worth the price.

I looked at Sans Souci b/c I heard the food was great but it was too small for us. It would be perfect for a wedding of your size. One affair at a time, it's very intimate. Kat is right, the outdoor area is beautiful for the ceremony and cocktail area. Their prices start at $80, but I'm sure if you book a holiday or an afternoon reception the price would be better.

Last week there was a Louis Armstrong profile on the BRAVO Channel. The closing song was something with the words "We've got all the love in the world." I looked in the music stores but found nothing by this name. Does anyone know this song? It was lovely and I would like to use it for our first dance.

They suggested a woman named Lori for hair. I called her, waited a week, called again. Not one return call. Quite frankly, I wouldn't waste your time calling her.

Eileen for makeup 499-5161...very nice woman. We never actually spoke but traded several voice mail messages! : ) Turns out she was already booked for my day - good customer service!
