Re: Harry Potter Fans

I love harry potter...the books the movies(you just have to look at them seperate from the books) and everyting inbetween...i even tried to convince my FH to read then so that i could theme our wedding harry potter(only hlaf seriously...well maybe a little more than half lol) he was not amused by the thought though it would have been so much fun to sort the guests into houses but alass thats a dream that will have to remain as such...

has anyone else read any 'childrens' series that are not really necessecarily for children? that sbeen my new kick i just finish a trilogy called His Dark Materials by phillip pullman and it was amazing but stong on the religious aspect (in the opposite way that narnia was- kinda anti religion) but as long as you dont take it personally its a really great read id highly reccommended it to any harry potter fan the subject matter is different but the feel is similar. Also the inheritance series (eragon and Eldest) were also on the same level of feel like harry potter and were good fun reads...

If anyone has any suggestions of other books like these i'd love to hear them..always looking for something new!

I read a few of the Lemony Snicket books - but decided after the first 2 that I didn't really like them. But I LOVE Harry Potter!

Re: Harry Potter Fans

I've read the lemony snicket books as well and i can understand how you might not have liked them. I know when i first started the vocab lesson they drilled into your head in each one was kinda annoying but once you get far enough into them you cant help reading them becuase your just so confused and want to know whats happening lol...

if you like thoes kind of kids books you might also try the artemis fowl books theyre not quite on the same level but they have a fun story line and are a quick read.

Yes, the vocab lessons are so very annoying!! I saw the movie and decided to read the books. I had never even heard of it before then.
