hello everyone i was just wondering if anyone had any information on the following things. the huntington hilton for a wedding reception? next faze for a band? and did anyone hear of proline? patkin? and jovon? for a photographer? any info would really help me we are planning on getting married 9-9-00. thanks

We saw Dante at the expo the other night and they definitely had a nice selection. Also, the guy at the booth was very helpful, We went down today and booked our tuxes for July and were able to try tuxes on in the store.

The photographer is John H. He did our engagement photos and we were very happy with him and the quality of his work. We don't think we're going to have video.

Who are you using? Are you getting the video from Jo-Von also? If you don't mind, what do their packages run?

We are using Jon as well. He did my girlfrieds wedding and her photos came out beautiful. My dad went a little crazy with photography b/c he felt that after that day waas over it was going to be the only thing we have left. So, he got the video, photographer for 10 hours, 5 parent books with accompanying 8X10's, one bride and groom album, video and portrait thank-yous for $5700. I know it is a lot, and I would not have picked it, but he wanted it.

As ridiculous as this may sound, I don't remember exactly what my package includes. When we booked Jo-Von it was after we had already booked with another photographer. We had a really bad experience with them and we were more concerned with the quality rather that quantity of the pictures.

It sounds like you got a great deal. My price is a little lower, not much, but we did not get video. They told us we could add it later in Jan or Feb. So, I guess we need to make a decision on that.

I'll check my package tonight and let you know more tomorrow.

I chose Patken as our photographer. I liked their style and their custom albums. My friend used them a couple of years ago and loved them. Good Luck! I recommend going to the Lindenhurst office, that's where Doug Patken works.

I got this formula from USABride.com. They have a tip of the day that you can have sent to your e-mail if you want. If not you can just get on their site and look at the tips. Some of their ideas are pretty good.

As far as favors are concerned we do alot of great favors for bridal showers....just some of them are dress shaped trinket boxes, candles, mugs filled with candy, potpourri miniature bride sachets that look like little brides, all types of chocolates, frames, and more. We also do a towel cake centerpiece that is a nice touch as well.
