Kids can run fevers for a few days, now it would be considered 'low' so the fact that it is coming down is a good sign. How is his affect? If you could not break a high fever for 3 or more (over 102.5) days I would ne concerned, bring him in tomorrow just so you can have a less anxious weekend.

when my daughter had her first fever I gave her motrin if that don't help ask the doctor if you can do both motrin and tylenol. Not at the same time I know you have to wait like an hour before giving the other don't remember what that was though. Considering doctors consider that a low grade fever they may tell you not to do it I remember my nieve was on both at one time she had a very high fever thats the only reason why I'm suggesting it.
Also there are suppositories that help bring down the fever faster as well.
