HELP! Need a Headpiece

Hi everyone, I need a headpiece to go with my dress but don't want to pay $700 for the one that my bridal shop had to match my dress. Any suggestions?

Good luck! Sounds like you're getting close!

HELP! Need a Headpiece

Josie,

I definitely recommend The Bridal Boutique. It is located in Massapequa on Sunrise Highway (797-4355). They have a huge selection of headpieces at discount prices. I took in a picture of the headpiece that I loved in Macy's to them and they had it at half the cost. They also added a layer of veil on for me with the edging.

Good luck!

HELP! Need a Headpiece

Her pieces are very unique... I am sure you could, depending on what you are looking for. I chose a headpiece seperate from my veil so that i could wear it during the reception. I think mine was $385, but it is handmade porcelin and gemstone. It is worth a call. They are very accomodating, so if you can describe what you want the will tell you if they have it and the approximate cost. Their info is: 24 W. 57th St. Between 5th & 6th New York, NY 10019 Tel. 212-245-3390 Fax 212-245-3374 Hope this is helpful.

HELP! Need a Headpiece

You ladies will be in shock over my decision. I went to Patchogue Floral and ordered my headpiece in about 15 minutes, didn't even have a picture of my dress. I only have detail on top of my dress and the bottom from an A-line waist to the floor is plain. Chiffon over satin. I picked a small 1 line string (small roses) with a pearl in each rose. I tried it on, added the veil, ordered it and that was that! Most bridal stores will tell you that you should be careful when ordering headpieces and dresses. Consultants will tell you as long as they are not dramatically different, you are fine. If you are wearing a full collar closed neck line, you should be careful. Off-the-shoulder, or jewel, sweethear neck line, your hair is far enough away that it won't clash. I'm happy with what I bought and the top of my dress has a small brocade with a tiny pearl in each circle, so If you study the beading or design on your dress, you should be able to pick a headpiece that goes. When you look at too many, that's when you forget. Go to the store with exactly what you have in mind and ask to see that type of piece. I knew I wanted a bun wrap, but not small for a tight pull. I want an elegant wider wrap so that my hair is pulled up loosely. That's exactly what I got.

BEST OF LUCK

Brendan
