first of all - the dress is beautiful
and second of all - it's the bride's decicion! i understand that you want everyone to be happy - but sometimes that is impossible! And when the situation is impossible, it's up to the people getting married to choose. and that's YOU - so let her be obnoxious, tell her to have a great time being obxnoxious in a beautiful dress!!

Its beautiful!!! I think it is very elegant. Something is wrong with her. You are the one that gets to pick the dress in reality and now a days us brides want to give our BM's a choice which is fine but sometimes we have to put our foot down. Tell her that that is the dress and that is it. If she really wanted to be in the bridal party then she would have to accept it.

It is not up to her.
She is entitled to her opinion and you are entitled to a pleasant wedding. So she needs to deal with it or tell you and your FI she can't be in wedding party

I've learned that some people actually enjoy being confrontational and difficult. The more you try to help them, the more difficult they will be and you will go crazy.

That is the dress. End of discussion.

Thanks for all the input,, she has already become cold to me but I can't worry day to day if everything i am doing, is pleasing her. I feel bad because I don't want to be the EVIL DAUGHTER IN LAW!!! but they also need to teach their daughter a little class..

By the way.. it is 2 peice and plain in the front. It has trimming around the top of the dress and the sleeves.

I think the dress is gorgeous. Why doesn't she like the dress??? Does it show more skin than she would like? Maybe if you be the bigger person & approach her & ask her what the problem is, you guys can diplomatically work something out (or at the very least make her feel more comfortable about wearing it.)

If she is just being ridiculous, then too bad, she shouldn't have accepted then. Who on this earth does not know that being a BM means wearing a BM dress that the BRIDE gets to choose (usually). It is just the way it is.

She just sounds like a bratty 20 yr. old who's not getting her way (having her bf in the bp), so she's just pi ssy about it and giving you a hard time to make up for it. She'll get over it. And if she doesn't, who cares? She's the one who's going to waste all that negative energy and time. Don't let it interfere with this GREAT time in YOUR life! Good Luck!

I think the dress is beautiful and if you like the dress and so does everyone else, then you should get them. It seems as though FSIL would have a problem with any dress you pick if she's so difficult. I would tell FI to have a little talk with his sister...
The truth is, you can't please everyone, so if everyone loves the dress, then go for it!!!!
