lavendar has always been my favorite color. fh didnt have a problem using it.

I decided based on the time of year.

Red, silver and black.

I picked my colors based on the catering hall's room - I know, I'm a little strange. I wanted everything to match, but the girls loved the champagne dresses and it worked great for the guys too.

I picked my dress first and then thought,'What will look best with this.' I was looking for romantic.

Then I found a dress that was sort of silvery and that eliminated a lot for me. I then picked out a BM dress and looked at what colors it came in and picked what went best with my dress.

I ended up with pink pink pink!

Not strange at all! I did the same thing! Didn't want the decor clashing with anything else.

We also got champagne colored dresses...accenting with gold and white and shades of purple.

I wanted midnight blue but I didnt like the way it looked on my MOH. I basically chose champange because I liked it way it looked on everyone. If I could turn back the clock, I would of had them all in red!

I thought I wanted pale blue, but when I could not find any BM dresses in that color, I had my girls pick a dress and then from there we found the color. We went with pink and so my colors were pink, silver and black. Looking back it was perfect for me and my summertime wedding.

I started out by thinking of a color for the bridesmaids. I only had two, and I thought they would both look very nice in blue. I also love the color and find it soothing (which would be good if I was nervous) and it's also a cool color (I had a summer wedding).

So it was a mix of what I liked, and what would look nice on the bms.

ugh its such a hard choice it took me a long time and i still second guess it! i decided on blue and pruple b/c FH fav color is purple and i LOVE LOVE the way they look together plus its a spring wedding...so thats how i decided..youll figure it out!

Not exactly an answer to your question but I just wanted you to know that I went to a wedding recently where the BM had chocolate brown dresses and carried pink calla lillies. They looked beautiful, and I did not notice any clashing with the men's tuxedos.
