Not for a wedding... but for a party...like a birthday, anniversary, etc....

The age group would probably be...20 y/o - 40 y/o, majority being 25-35 y/o

Personally, I'm not a fan for an event that I would have, but I'll never pass one up when given out....

I'm quoting you to emphasize that you're not talking about a wedding.

For a party like a birthday or anniversary, I think that a giveaway would go over well with a younger crowd. As in younger birthday, sweet 16, etc. With older people, I think that it depends on what you're giving away and how it's done.

Forget it Mel, some people just refuse to read the entire post sometimes!!!

You know what's funny...all you have to do is read the first line...as it clearly states (IN BOLD) 'NOT FOR A WEDDING.'

I guess some people have an aversion to bold lettering!!! They probably just read the title and nothing else.....

Ahhhhh

We think giveaways are tacky and take away from the wedding. Weddings should be classy not corny.

Okay-first, you haven't read the initial post. She specifically said NOT A WEDDING!!!

Second-you've just insulted a lot if girls who said they like them by calling it tacky.

As I said previously, I am not having give aways at my wedding but I think they can be fun at non wedding functions with a young crowd. This is my opinion and I don't think less of those who choose otherwise.

Words of advice-please read the post before you answer and please choose your words a little more carefully.

I am TERRIBLY sorry. I was not in the best of moods last night and that was not right. I sincerely apologize if I insulted anyone. And after I posted I realized it said Not Wedding. Please forgive me

Doesn't matter to me!!

At my SIL's baby shower they played Baby Bingo and gave away stuff from Victoria's Secret since her mom worked there!

I wasn't complaining when I won!

I wouldn't mind that either!

I agree for younger crowds, but I wouldn't mind playing a game and winning some goodies from VS either! LOL

Yeah, I hoped the if the bold function wasn't doing it, that quoting would. Oh, well - hope you get the answers that you need.
