I never thought much of it until I was FMed by a vendor. That was kind of annoying.

In general I don't care, but I got an FM yesterday that seemed sincere in its concern, but when I sorted the whole thing out I was told the 'problem' presented wasn't really a problem at all. That was kind of annoying.

I actually had a vendor FM me last week when I was complaining about my hall!!! 'With flowers and candles, you can work magic....'

I never responded. I actually think its funny to tell you the truth.

LMAO!! I think I know who you are talking about!! I have gotten a few like this!!!
I have also gotten some that were REALLY nasty!! from a vendor I had never heard of!!!!! I couldnt believe the way they were talking to me

the vendors are the ones who pay to make this board possible. And if they are reading they will know what we are looking for and what makes us happy ,what is wrong with that?

I just don't like that I have been FM'ed a few times by vendors giving personal advice about things that I have posted about...

Personally, I dont care what they do, but if one of my vendors contacted me because of something I said on here, more than likely I would cancel them.

i am kind of mixed about the whole thing - one of my vendors did contact me over something here - lets just say sometimes brides have a meltdown - we are under alot of stress - it is ok for them to read if they want but we shouldnt get chewed out over things on the boards- i think that is kind of wrong.

I dont like it, and I dont like that the vendors are TOLD what we write about, which happens as well.

I don't really care.

This site doesn't require registration to view any post and since the vendors pay for it, what are you going to do??

I don't think they should necessarily contact brides but these 'conversations' are no where near private and I think most of us are very aware of that.

The only thing that annoyed me a bit with that is when a vendor (who I didn't know and never contacted) contacted me due to one of my BHB posts. It seemed unprofessional.

Of course they are going to read it, but they shouldn't bring what they read into discussions with people. (i.e. you women create such drama!)

I am not a fan, especially when they FM me!! There is one exception to that about a vendor who read one of my posts and e-mailed me something personal- not like a sales thing.

ETA, overall it doesn't bother me too much. The problem is I think people tend to censor themselves more.

Same thing happened to me and I thought it was very sweet..
