BETH!!!!!! I am so sorry to hear of your experience during your first fitting!!!!!! I can only imagine how you're feeling. I am sure your dress with look amazing when it's done!!! It will look the same, just with the corest!! The front won't change, the train won't change. But most importantly....your FH will see you as the most beautiful woman on that day, no matter what the dress looks like!!!!!

Yes, lots of chest presses. I didn't know![]()
Bump for update with pics.
Stop the chest and back exercises. FM me for more info. I used to be a personal trainer (in my younger age). I will try to find exercises for you.

When you tried the dress on for your fitting did you have a corset longline bra on? If you did not then I recommend you get one because that will knock about 2 inches off you.

This may sound really stupid, but are you due for your period? I found that when I had my period I was 3 inches bigger in my chest then after a dress was ordered (a bridesmaid dress)...and I didn't lose any weight but yet, when it finally came in I suddenly 'lost 3 inches' around my bust...

You have time...don't eat any salt/limit your carbs for 3 weeks/increase cardio, then make your fitting for the last weekend in May, I bet you won't need the corset...

Yeah, but why am I going to kill myself for the next 1 1/2 months when there is no guarantee I'll lose weight in my bust? I don't need to lose in my waist at all, just my bust. I'm just going to have to go with the corset. I have my next fitting may 12.

Woman!!! I am so sorry you are going through this, my dress had to be let out slightly and I worried it would look stupid because the skirt had been shortened as far as it could go.All I can tell you is do more cardio and less weight training. You get more bulky from weight training. Or if you want to get toned down, use lighter weight with more reps. This might help you!!!
Otherwise, it looks perfectly fine with a corset, but ultimately you have to be happy!!!

Let me tell you one thing. Corsets are the only thing that will fit exact on the wedding day. It's the only thing that expands and contracts with you. Also, they are easier for the DH to take off on your wedding night than small buttons.

Beth, I just looked at your pictures.
Girl, you are stunning.
Don't worry about a thing and enjoy your day. You're never getting another bridal shower, so put this out of your mind for one day. Enjoy it, and then come back and tell us how wonderful it was. Then take the suggestions here and work on it with us.
I'm serious, you're beautiful and no alterations to that dress will change that.![]()
I agree...I know that the situation must have made you feel horrible BUT your dress looks beautiful!! The corset back will look great!! Have fun at your Bridal Shower..it only happens once!! Good luck!!

Awww, Beth, I'm so sorry that your first fitting was not a joyful and wonderous experience for you!
I KNOW that with or without a corset back, you will be a beautiful bride!!!
Don't let this take away from enjoying your shower. There are many people who love and care for you that will be in Boston. Put aside the disappointment with the dress long enough to feel the love.
