aww, these are such cute stories We lived next door to each other

these are great stories...my FH have one house in between both of ours...but we had to go to a wedding to meet each other (and he had already been living on my block for 4 years

)

I like some others on here had no luck with online dating... I tried Match.com, love@aol, and matchmaker.com... even tried a dating service - Great Expectations (okay how desperate was I?). I finally gave up on trying to meet someone, but just go out and try to make friends (male and female b/c I had just moved back to NY in 2002). I went away for a weekend to something called 'Club Getaway' - kind of a 'camp' for adults - they had a singles weekend. I met FH there... his friend was hitting on me, but FH and I ended up talking all night and through the weekend. I was 29 and he was 30 at the time - of course the 'perfect scenerio' of divorced with no kids was not his, but we've made it work so far... almost 4 years later...
