Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
thanks for all your replies
i am not that sad as i am disappointed if that makes sense. i am going on a MAJOR shopping spree tomorrow & if i have time get a mani/pedi.
i will take my friend up on her offer & make sure it gets back to them. ALL of us have hectic lives but being a good friend means putting in some effort into your relationship. My FH best man is amazing. he has been back & forth from VT for tuxes, fittings, etc...
i guess you have to accept people for who they are !!

Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
You aren't being selfish at all!!! But maybe it is a surprise??? I personally would say something to someone. There is no use for you to be miserable. Ask them what's going on? I would. Say he FH is going on his bachelor party anyone want to celebrate with me for mine? I don't think you should sit home. It's not cool they haven't planned but that doesn't mean that you should suffer. Talk to them.

Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! I would def say something to them... it's really uncool that you helped plan theirs and now that it's your time they aren't putting in the effort. You shouldn't accept an offer to be in a bridal party if you don't plan on doing the work!! i hope it all works out.. go out with your friend from work and have a ball and make sure they know it!!!! Hugs for u!

Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
I didn't get a bachelorette party either. All my BMs are married and have kids & live far away, etc... I went to all of their shower, bachelorette parties, RDs, weddings, was a BM, went to their baby's showers, etc... and when it was FINALLY my turn ... NOTHING!I was so disappointed and heartbroken. I completely understand how you feel.

Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
I just don't think you should let them get away with that. I think feeling sad in silence isn't going to help at all. If you don't tell them how you feel then how will they truly know that what they are doing is hurting you? It's such a girl thing to do this (i do it al the time to FH) to sulk and hope they figure it out. But maybe they aren't going to so you should tell them. if anything make them feel bad about themselves..lol....or on the other hand if they have something awsome planned then at least you will know

Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
How quickly people forget when it is not their turn for something that they had themselves .
I would def say something to them about being disappointed because it really is not fair !

i highly doubt it. basically 2 more weekends left until my wedding. i haven't picked up any hints at all.. all i get is 'there isn't enough time in the day' or 'wait until you have kids'
thanks anyway...
I'm sorry you are so bummed - but i agree - they have to be planning a surprise. honestly, with it being this close i would just call up your MOH and ask the question.
just say - I don't want to spoil anything you may have planned, but we're 3 weeks away and I'm just wondering if you were planning any sort of Bachelorette thing?' just tell her you want to be sure you have a clear vision of your schedule leading up to it so you wanted to double check.
and if there ISNT a bachelorette - i say we have it LIWeddings style!!!! we'll all take you out. Actually - thats not a bad idea- we should have an '08er bachelorette night!

awww...you are not being selfish at all. If your girls really are doing a bachlorette party that is selfish on the their part. Maybe its a suprise?? What about your MOH....maybe she is planning something??

Re: i guess no bachelorette party for me
Say something ! sometimes its better to be upfront about this stuff ? some people are just clueless and selfish so you have to make it clear for them that you want a b-party
