Our band was Hot Pursuit - they were incredible!!

I heard them play at a bridal showcase they were incredible.

Milestone Music is the best band. I was blown away when I saw them perform live. I had been watching a lot of sample dvds and gone to a few showcases, but Milestone was the best I head. Also, you can tell Dotty, the band leader/manger, really cares. They are a vendor on this site.

I just went through this b/c I just booked my band this weekend! I went with Soul Revival and I adore them. I knew I didn't want a DJ, but I was unsure how to go about finding a band. I looked at the vendors on here and found I went towards the ones with music I could hear on their website. I have little patience, so for me the instant gratification of hearing them right then, made a huge difference! After I narrowed it down, then I went a saw a few showcases over the past few weeks. FH and I were deciding between 2, but Soul Revival just fit better for us.
Try to see them live, that is what did it for us.

current affair...currentaffairmusic.com-amazing and they'll learn anything you want, you can also listen to sample songs on the website.

they vary a lot in price, so it depends on your budget. i'm using gramercy park which is a steven scott band. my cousin had a band/dj combo and he used body rock. they were good.

Mike from Soundchoice DJ entertainment. I know he's one of the house vendors from Majestic gardens, I saw him at a few weddings there. We really liked him.

Absolute Entertainment! I can't say enough about them. I was having such a hard time trying to decided on who to have, until I sat down at an interview with Kevin from Absolute. We looked at the plasma screen tv's, the lights, awesome stuff. And there are just awesome things that we never ever thought of having at our wedding, but now me AND my fi talk about it ALL the time and all the fun we're going to have with clips for the screens. Anywho, they are really great to work with and I'm soooo excited about our reception, and a big part is because of them!

i think theKnot has a list of question to ask on their site. They have tons of articles about everything.

I'm going with a DJ, we haven't signed him yet but he's really great. DJ Gutek.
