You can definately find some great dresses at davids bridal! my cousin had a dress from there and it was NOT cheap looking at all.. it prob weighed 50 lbs from all the beading lol it was gorgeous!

That dress is really pretty in person, I went to get my BM dress for my sisters wedding in the beginning of the month and they had it on display and I kept looking at it.

The fabric is really nice too.. Its thick (sturdy). It looks well made. I was actually going to go back to DB later this week to try on some more dresses... BTW how long does it usually take to find a dress? I've gone 3 days already to 3 different places and my mom is already getting bored of it.

I dont think she meant it badly. She said she was worried. She didnt say no one buy a dress there.

Years ago db did have crappy dresses. I looked there in 95. They only carried their own line then. Theyve revamped their image and brought in other designers. Now they have some gorgeous things.

i agree. i think that she ment it as she didnt want to be disappointed in the quality of the dress. Im sure she would have said the same thing if the dress was at kleinfelds. I have that fear too that when I have my heart set on a dress it always looks amazing in the bridal magazines but looks like shyt on and is totally not what I would expect. she didnt say that DB is crappy and cheap.

I was totally against getting my dress there because of the mixed reviews, but that's where I found the one! I wouldn't say by any means their dresses look cheap. They just put out a new line which I saw when I went in recently that's absolutely stunning. Give it a try, like I said I didn't want to go there either but it ended but being the place I found exactly what I wanted.

I got my dress there and got a lot of compliments on it.

I didn't want to spend a lot, but I didn't want it to look like I didn't spend a lot, KWIM?

Ultimately, its worth looking at. They don't pressure you, and even if you don't buy there, you will probably walk out with a good idea about what styles most flatter you. They're pretty great for BM dresses too. I used the Westbury store and worked with Donna both times. She's mad cool.

If you go, try to go early on a weekend or on a weekday...you'll have a much less crowded store.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with getting a dress from DB! They have some beautiful dresses and that one is very pretty!!

I agree with many of the girls. It cant hurt to go and try! I went and tried on some of their newer, designer dresses. Two of which I found to be beautiful and were serious contenders. They were priced over $1000. I think Davids Bridal often get a poor thought, but the reality is they have some beautiful dresses!

If you like it, go try it on. Don't get hung up on the place. You'll know the right dress by the way you feel...

I actually tried that dress on, it looked really odd on me. Anyways overall in comparison to other dresses I don't like the material of DB dresses. There are exceptions I'm sure but of course all the styles I liked were the crappy material.

That dress looks just like my gown from Priscilla of Boston.. if you don't like the material or fabric you can try there to get a similar style

i also tried on a few dresses there! They seemed well made and a couple were gorgeous!
The one in Lake Grove was nice, good customer service!

mine is oleg cassini from DB, it is satin and I am absolutely in LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE. It wasn't TOO expensive either =)
