Hi.....

Me: Paige, 24 years old, College Admissions Counselor, Graduate student.
FH: Michael, 24 years old, Sheet Metal Worker in NYC.
We met in Junior High. We started dating on 8.11.93 when we were only 13......OMG!!!!! But were on & off throughout High School. (I went to Catholic HS and he stayed in public school).
My Ring: It's so pretty. Round stone, 4 'V' prong setting, platinum band.
The proposal: Took place at the Chrismas tree at EAB Plaza (12.12.03) in an igloo. Michael said lets go in and then said 'Look what I found' as he was down on his knee with this beautiful sparkkly thing! OMG! I didn't expect it so soon, although we had been talking about it for a few months. I love him!
Wedding: 10.09.05.....St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church & then off to Giorgio's for our elegant Reception.
Honeymoon: Greek islands
Dress: Hopefully an Anne Barge replica made by Forever Yours.....so pretty!

Met: at a med school function after he tapped me on the shoulder and introduced himself. we spent the next 2 hours talking about brooklyn and the mets, and the rest was history!
Ring: gorgeous vintage european-cut stone in the center (not sure how big, somewhere between 1.5 and 2 carats but i never asked), in a hand-carved vintage-inspired setting with 29 diamonds all around. couldn't imagine a ring i could love more...
Proposal: to make a long story short, changed the menu at our favorite restaurant to contain one of our personal jokes, and proposed at the table. so cute!!!
Wedding: Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale/May 28, 2005
Honeymoon: South Pacific somewhere
Dress: Ann Barge. LOVE IT

Our families have been friends for years and years, we grew up in oceanside together. I was friends w/ his brother since middle school, but met him once i got to high school.... its weird, but I KNEW he was the one. We didnt get together until my senior year but i loved him all through high school
My ring: it HAD to be the one we saw on a cruise while in St. thomas, and luckily for him... it was!!! plat. setting, a little over 1.5 princess cut center stone, with 2 tapered baguettes on each side. see pic.
The proposal (short version lol):
December 23, 2003, almost midnight. He made me leave our room saying he wanted to show me what he got bailey (our chocolate lab). I walked in and he is sitting w/ her, she is wearing her deer antlers, with a sign that says 'mommy will you marry daddy'. Too cute!
Wedding: St. christophers church friday, 11-11-05, then to jericho terrace for the reception!
Honeymoon: 2 weeks in hawaii, kauai and maui (though FH is still pulling for overwater bungalo in tahiti, bora bora)
Dress: not sure yet, but narrowed down to EOM or demetrios!

We actually met on the internet. He emailed, i responded, about 6 months later we met and starting dating. Realized i loved him on 9/11/01, that terribly sad day, when i knew he worked in the south tower on the 97th floor and didn't know what happened to him. Was hysterical in the office and tons of people praying for him. Thank God!!! he got out minutes before the tower collapsed. His sis called me to let me know he was safe as he couldn't get to a phone.
Honeymoon: Niagara Falls

HIM: 32 - actor/real estate agent

Met: I was a front desk receptionist and he was a bellman at a trendy midtown hotel. We worked some graveyard shifts together and would always have these deep talks about life. Apparently, he had a huge crush on me, but I had to go through a 'I just broke up with my college boyfriend of 4 years and I need to party and date and go wild' phase before dating him. He waited patiently and then won my heart on our first date.

Engaged: Dec 14th, 2003 in front of our tiny Christmas tree in the Living Room of our first apartment - It was a spur of the moment, from the heart proposal with no ring, but alot of tears and joy.

The Ring: Came 3 weeks later as a gift from his grandmother. A 1.5 carat brilliant stone I had reset into a solitaire 8 prong with another half carat in diamond chips which I will set in the wedding band. (i hide it in some situations - it makes us look LOADED and we are so dirt poor, it's laughable.)

HM: Cannel Bay resort on St John. So beautiful there I want to weep.

Newlyweds: We are buying a puppy after the wedding, when we move into our new home in North Carolina. Basically, we are running away for the first 2 years of marriage to live in wedded bliss away from everyone. CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!

RING: Designed by FH and absolutely everything I could have dreamed of and more. Platinum setting, emerald cut center stone with trillions on either side. I love it!

HM: Probably St. Lucia at Le Sport Resort/Spa... I'm a vegan and they actually have food I can eat at this place! :) Tee hee!

No dress yet, but I seem to be in love with Demetrios, Eve of Milady, Reem Acra .. but we shall see. The shopping begins next week.

We're on the photographer hunt at the moment, and what a trial it's turning out to be!!!

Met: I worked with Paul at Montefiore for 2 weeks. After I left the company, Paul would email me, and would 'run into' me on the LIRR. We joke about it now... but we fell in love on the LIRR. LOL!!!!
Ring: 1 carat princess cut - I forget the name of the setting but it's a Tiffany design.
Wedding band is 1 carat of princess cut diamonds.
Proposal: On vacation 2 years ago in Jamaica. It happened on the beach and was very sweet and romantic.
Dress: Lady Blanc.
Honeymoon: We are traveling to India, Paris and hopefully trek around Europe a little. 5 weeks of bliss! I can't wait!!!!

How we met - We both worked at Eastwind 7 years ago, that is where we met and that is where we are getting married!!!!

Proposal - We love this place in Newport, Rhode Island called the Newport Bay Club. We have been there previously and to celebrate our 7 year anniversary we wanted to go back. While there, he surprised me. He threw me in the downstairs bathroom (we rented a two level townhouse) and about 20 min later he opened the door holding a dozen roses. He told me to follow the trail of rose petals leading up to the master bath on the spiral staircase. When I reached the bathroom the jacuzzi was going with candles and rose petals and he had At Last by Etta James playing (hence our wedding song). He told me that I was his inspiration and began to get all choked up. I honestly had no idea that he was about to get on one knee and pull the engagement ring out from behind the toilet. To end the experience, like the spaas I am, I locked us out on the balcony where we went after the engagment and we had to call the maintenance guy to let us back in...can't imagine what he thought was going on!!!!

He: Works as a chef at a resort in the White Mountains of New Hampshire

Met: Worked together at a local brewpub in Maine. I was a bartender and he was the sous chef. We started working the same week. In fact, we met 3 years ago today!!!

Ring: 2 carat round stone w/ 2 baguettes in platinum setting. His Nana left it to him but it has been in his family for 7 generations.

Proposal: We've been talking about getting married for years before the birth of our daughter. He 'officially' proposed last Thanksgiving when we were visiting his parents on Long Island.

Wedding: In one week!!!!!!!!! At a quaint resort in Bridgton, ME. The ceremony will take place at the edge of Highland Lake which is surrounded by mountains. The reception will be inside the resort.

Honeymoon: A couple of days in the White Mountains. The real honeymoon will be in the late winter to the Bahamas.

Dress: Jordan Fashions. Ivory, empire waisted, strapless, gorgeous!
