I can see how it could've possibly turned into a 'police brutality' thread - often times the violence against the 'arrestee' isn't called for -

for example, my FH's friend is a cop in Jamaica. He was telling us about last weekend, when they were arresting a guy on drug charges, and he tried to run off while cuffed, so his partner dislocated his ankle. THat's not necessarily called for, and I would say that is where this thread could've gone.

I'm not trying to start something, just pointing out the other side of the argument.
