FH wants us to be a young family but knows that I want to be a stay at home mom as well so I think we might wait a year or two, but if it happens sooner then I won't be upset at all

I would like to wait for at least 2-3 years after we get married. FH would like to have a baby sooner.

I'm a teacher and can't take vacation time during the school year, so we're honemooning over the summer (wedding's in March). And I want to enjoy my honeymoon (like drinking) without having to worry about being pregant from March. So we'll try for a honeymoon/just after honeymoon baby.

we are gonna start right away!!! lol My FH and I are 12 years apart (hes older) and i told him i dont want him to be too old to play with our child!

i cant wait. i tell him...'its not 447 days till our wedding.....its 477 days until baby makin' time'lol

another old thread brought back from the dead...

we plan to wait until i finish grad school (2 years) and settle in to a job (school counseling). hopefully by then we will have a house and be financially ready to start trying. i cant wait!!!

We don't know yet. We have the house (small, but it's a house!) Its scary b/c I would only work part time, so its a big pay cut.

My philosophy is - If you wait until you have money to have children, you will never have children.

on one hand we want them asap, on the other, we want to at least be able to support ourselves before we have them! =0P but no, we're in such a transitional state right now we can't even plan that far ahead. i'd like to wait until i at least have tenure and i'm going to start teaching this september, but then again i dunno if i'll want to stay at that school so i may not wait until i have tenure (i'm not waiting 5 years if i don't want to...).

we'll see...

Yea...we're going to start TTC as soon as we get back from the honeymoon (need IVF, otherwise, we'd try to make a honeymoon baby).

we want to wait 1-2 years and enjoy married life. i dont want to rush it. we will want to go away to tons of places before we have kids. dont get me wrong, i want a baby soooooo bad right now but i want to still do a lot before they come. im still to selfish right now also to have kids. i love going out with my girlsfriends and have 'girls night' and i love that me and FH can come home and relax together and be lazy and have date night twice a week. we love to spend money and go out and arent ready for children yet.
