Jamelle's in Newsday!

I was just looking in Newsday at the LI LIfe section (the wedding announcements) and the top of the page is Jamelle and Mike and the story of how they met! I am so happy for her. Take a look :)

I am having trouble thinking of a creative way to decorate it though. Any ideas?

My banquet manager was Charles, who treated us as if we were old friends or family. He was very up front with us, and took at least a couple of hours with us, showing us around, explaining everything to us, then leaving us alone to discuss with each other. Then he came back to answer all of our questions, and was even nice to us when we left, without booking, kissing me and my whole family goodbye, as if he were one of us. (If you're Italian, you'll understand the kissing thing)

Jamelle-What a great article!! How is your husbands residency going?

I've noticed that about half the weddings I've gone to (not that I go to one every weekend), half the brides wear a blusher over their face while walking down the aisle, and the other half don't.

Where is the story? I can't seem to locate it. What section is it in?

That is the same Mgr. that I dealt with and I had the same experience. We are booked for Jan. 13, 2001. He was very polite and helpful.

My brother graduated from LuHi as well. I just can't remember what year he graduated, but he'll be 28 this year!

Hope this helps!

Just an interesting note....

I didnt go to HS with my soon to be, but did meet him on AOL!

I found that people who fly first class (out of the question for me) have more privleges then those who fly coach. I would NOT be able to have my gown stored in a closet but in fact would have to put it up in the overhead luggage compartment, along with all the other luggage that people will be putting up there.

He was RAMBLINMN1, but since doesnt have aol

(I think I stole him away from his own PC lol)

$1800 sound like a LOT to spend on something that lasts for one day...but that is just my 2 cents! Hope this helps!

Nice to see another AOL Love Conection. I met my fiancee on AOL almost 2 years ago....

I went to that place in Huntington and contemplated a Rena Koh dress from them. It turned out to be too expensive so I went elsewhere. I think she's from out of the country and I didn't have enough time to order. But my mom tried to order a Jovani dress somewhere else and she was told THE NEXT DAY they couldn't get it in time. She was disappointed because it took her a while to find the dress she wanted and was told she couldn't get it. But better to find out 4 months before the wedding than a few weeks.

I hope things work out for you and your mom. More stress is something we all don't need right now.

Hey Jenn

Congrats. I wondered about where there maybe a place on AOL for sucess stories that are not related to the LOVE@AOL personals.

Do you know of anything like that?

You would think they would. But I just looked and aside from being very thankful I don't have to deal with the personals anymore, I didn't find a thing about being able to post success stories.

I'll see if I can find more out.

Do you know of anything like that?
