He got the diamonds at Fortuoff as well. When we first were looking at rings we had decided against the three stone setting, but he found this one and really fell in love with it. Of course I was surprised when I first saw it, but immediately fell in love with it. It's different, I haven't seen many other rings like it.

my boyfriend went to jewelers row in philadelphia and got a look from every vendor when he asked for a pearl engagement ring.

i'm in love!!

Here's some pics i had taken of mine...its a square emerald cut stone...not an Ascher...(but they are similar)...i liked the simple lines of the emerald cut more.

I love my ring!!! I tried taking pictures of it on my finger BUT.....they all came out really blurry, so I have to use the picture I got from my jeweler.

I love both of 'em! Similar to mine, too!

Hamptons....you have a sq emerald...I was undecided between that and my princess! I ended up choosing the princess because my particular stone 'spoke to me' - lol - it sounds ridiculous, but it really happened!

Do you know the difference between Sq Em and Asscher?

I *think* asscher has more of a windmill pattern, whereas the SqEm looks like squares inside squares, right? I love them both.

For Shorty McBride.

You are correct in the difference between Asscher & Square Emerald.

Asscher has more facets creating an octagonal pattern in the diamond, while Square Emerald has simpler, more geometric lines.

The difference is subtle, but being an artist my eye pics up on things like that, here's a pic showing the difference.
