Oh yeah....we do have similiar rings!!!! Where you DH get the ring from?? Mine is from Good Old Gold and I absolutely love that store!!

I found mine online...but the guy also has a location in the diamond district. He does all antique replicas. I had gone just looking with my friend, then she conspired with FH and they did the rest. He had already bought the diamond somewhere else. I will have to check out Good Old Gold though!!!

I finally got a picture of my ring so now I can post it! Hamptonsbride and pooks1020 have rings similar to mine. Sorry the background is blue I think the lighting was weird.

You are correct in the difference between Asscher & Square Emerald.

Asscher has more facets creating an octagonal pattern in the diamond, while Square Emerald has simpler, more geometric lines.

The difference is subtle, but being an artist my eye pics up on things like that, here's a pic showing the difference.

I would love a SE pendant someday. I love the '5 miles deep' thing - i think the asscher would look too busy in the size of the small pendant I can afford!

I seriously could look at everyone's rings all day. I LOVE this thread!! They're all so gorgeous and it's fun to see the different styles. I will post mine later - I'm at work and don't have a picture of it here.

ok that looks like mine a lot.. are the side stones pear or tear drop shaped??

i have a round in the center like you but mine is set a little higher from the other stones (from what it looks like) i think... and then pears on the side... the setting is platinum...

i NEVER thought i would get that style, never really saw it before but he picked it all on his own and when i got it i LOVED it
