Re: Let's Talk About Beauty Secrets!!!

Use sunscreen every day, winter too. Wear sunglasses when outside to protect the skin around you eyes as well as to prevent cataracts when you get older. I use Elizabeth Arden's Eye Fix under my eyeshawdow. It keeps it from smearng into the crease of my eyes.(I have oily eyelids). Actually, I use it even when I'm not wearing shawdow. It's a light cream & I think it helps keep the area under my eyes looking good.

Re: Let's Talk About Beauty Secrets!!!

- Drink lot's of water
- Exfoliate with every shower
- BAby oil after shower before drying off, for better absorption and the water just slides off.
- Sunblock even in winter
- I use a drop of moisturizer and a drop of conceiler in my hand, mix it and apply to damp face.
- When getting out of the shower push cutticles back with the towel.
- Exfoliate lips with moisturizing cream every morning so gloss will stay smooth.

..these are just from the top of my head :)

I get Seaweed Wraps...

Loose a lot of water before a big event...

Tootpaste on a blemish dries it up overight. Victoria Secrets lip primer keeps lipstick on almost all day without cracking.

Re: Let's Talk About Beauty Secrets!!!

I've had this regimen since H.S. and have pretty good skin, so it has been working for me.
1. I don't wash my face at night, just Noxema every morning. It is very refreshing and doesn't dry me out.
2. In the winter months, I apply vaseline under my moisturizer. Besides acting as a super hydrator, it prevents wind burn.
3. I prefer using brands like Fresh (best Lipgloss, concealer, powder), Chanel (best Foundations, lipsticks), Benefit (best eyeliners, mascara, blush, EVERYTHING), and Body Shop (best eyeshadows, and tinted moisturizers), rather than drugstore. Better quality, and I've tried them ALL.
4. Always carry Chapstick even in the summer for SPF protection.
5. For the occasional pimple, I use Mario Badescu's Drying lotion at night. In the morning, the pimple is practically gone.
6. After applying foundation and concealer, always apply some powder, it helps everything set.

Re: Let's Talk About Beauty Secrets!!!

I found these two things to be helpful, especially in the winter. Extra chapstick-one that is helpful, is blistex. Put on a moisturizing hand/body cream 3 times a day. SPF in moisturizer is a great idea ITA!

Re: Let's Talk About Beauty Secrets!!!

I love chapstick. I have one practically in every room in the apartment and about 2 in my pocketbook. All blistex

My lips are so soft and never chapped.

This Eye Fix...does it prevent oil, what is it for? I have oily eyelids too.

I need some great hair secrets - DEEP CONDITIONERS, repair, fix dryness!!!!

My Hair Thanks you!!!

I LOVE Frederic Fekkai's Protein Rx. It is a leave-in conditioner that repairs hair with Soy and Milk proteins. If you have very dry hair, use a deep conditioning masque like Bumble and Bumble's Deeeep Treatment. Also, I have dry hair, so I wash it every other day.

Oh yeah... I use cuticle oil every day, so my nails grow like weeds, and my manicure lasts three weeks between visits!

Can you expand this? Do you push back your cuticles? What oil do you use? my cuitcles are soooo dry and i need to start doing this!

Sure!

Nope, I don't push back my cuticles. I read somewhere that your cuticles protect your nails and nail bed from infection so I try not to pick at them. Besides, when I get my nails done, they typically trim them back a bit anyway.

I use a cuticle oil made by Gena. You can find it in a beauty supply store. It conditions and strengthens your nails. I've been using it for years. Even now that I do an acrylic overlay, I still use it and I find that I can go three weeks between nail appointments. My nails grow incredibly fast, and always look shiny.

Re: Let's Talk About Beauty Secrets!!!

I was reading an article about Halley Berry, and she said that the best time to moisturize your skin is right after the shower when you are still in the steam, it really works. The reason it works so well is because your pores are still open. I also love the clinique 3-step skin care, soap clarifying lotion and moisturizing lotion, works wonders. Also in regards to makeup brands, I find the longest lasting is chanel. The colors are very, very dense so you only need a little and it lasts all day.
