I am from Northport, so I would recommend the 'Docks'. They have a nice park, gazeboo, the water, ect. My cousin did her pics there and they came out amazing. Being you are having a summer wedding, they sun at sunset is amazing there. Best of luck!
Centerport also has some area's near the water, but not as nice. One other suggestion would be to go one more town over to Huntington and on 25A is Hecksher Park- it is a large park with some ponds, mini water falls, ect. Hope this helps!

ktdtlc,

I did not mean that you have to pay an extra 300 if it rains. I meant that you have to reserve 300 in sites(for example, the main site and two extras) in order to get indoor pics if it rains. That's what Carol told us. We wanted three spots regardless, so it did not matter to us.

We are having the ceremony at St. Paul's, on the main street in Northport and just planning to walk down after the ceremony and take some pics on the docs, gazebo and playground.

Do you have to reserve the Gazebo in Northport, or can you just wander down and see if you can get good pics? It's in October.

We have two hours between, so plenty of time. We're going to the Thatched Cottage (our reception) half an hour prior to cocktail hour to get pics there.

FtrMrs- If you're looking for places to take pics in Northport I would NOT recommend going down to where the gazebo is in Northport by the water. FH and I go to the deli nearby and have lunch on the lawn a few times each summer. There is ALWAYS a wedding taking pics, and the last time we went- no joke- 6 weddings showed up at the same time to take pics. All of the photographers were arguing, some wedding parties left, others were just p-o'd.
