Congrats! I am getting married at the Oldfield Club. It is a smaller quaint place and they don't penalize you for smaller weddings. I know someone who is getting married there that plans to have around 75 people. I will probably have around 125. The place is beautiful with great food. Check it out. I also liked Crescent Beach but they were hitting me hard on the price b/c they didn't want to do a smaller wedding....Good luck

If you want to stay in the Bayville area, there is Steves Pier and Sail harbor which are on the other end of the Crescent, same side of the water just down a little further. ALso, you can check out the Atlantis Marine Aquarium, they do weddings.

My Crescent wedding will have a minimum of 125 people... and if I have 150, the price goes down by $5 pp.

It's my DREAM place... if you really love it, see if they'll work with you. I was going to look somewhere else, but my FH told me that if I don't have it there and don't have the wedding of my dreams, I'll always regret it. Keep trying... don't compromise if you really want The Crescent.

Try Fox Hollow...its not beachy but they have a beautiful smaller room that can accomodate around 100 people.

Beach Club Estate, It is cute, right on Lake Ronkonkoma, my minimum was 90 (originally 80 but raised it to 90 in order to lower the price per head)

I am getting married at Lombardi's on the Sound. They have a 75 person guarantee and they are on the water www.lombardisonthesound.com

I was going to suggest Fox Hollow or Jericho Terrace. They both do wedding that accommodate around 100 people, however they are both not on the beach or by the water. Sorry I can not think of any place by the beach. Good Luck!

The Riverview in Oakdale is right on the water and offer small events.

Thanks ladies! I have 2 appointments next weekend to visit Chateau La Mer and Venetian Yacht Club. They have both initally given me workable prices. Keeping my fingers crossed!

try the milleridge carriage house, or the milleridge inn (not sure if the inn has a room for 100). if you are sure you are not going over 100 the carriage house is a nice choice.

Milleridge Inn will do smaller weddings and check out Chateau La Mer. I think they do smaller weddings in the upstairs room.

We got married at Danfords and had 105 people. I think they may want slightly higher # for Saturday night weddings, but we negotiated a lower guest # by agreeing to meet the minimum cost of the wedding for the # they wanted (I forget how many - not much higher).

It is on the water and beautiful! There is a small park next door. I don't know if you can do outdoor weddings there - the town owns it. Also, Danfords has an outdoor courtyard for outdoor ceremonies and CH, but you can't see the water from it.

I need some help! I just got engaged and am looking to get married this fall. I really want to get married on the beach and love what I see online from The Crescent Beach Club. I have only talked to them on the phone so far but they really didn't want to take a wedding for 100 people. Seems like this might be a problem becuase it seems like they are increasing the price per person to make up for the low numbers.
Does anyone have any ideas for a nice affordable place to have a small wedding?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

Just wondering where you decided since this is exactly what I'm looking for!! Thanks
