Wait til you see when we sweep the Yanks at Shea.. you'll see.. I guarantee it! [/QUOTE

It could happen

Sure it 'could' happen ..........

but I'm REALLY hoping & expecting it NOT to happen

Though truth be told, I'm more interested in the Yankee/Red Suxx series than the Subway Series ... THESE games truly matter to us!!

GOOOO YANKS!!

we're counting on you to overlook the Mets while concentraing on the Sox -- then we lower the boom

Actually... I am seeing Glavine/Traschel/Ginter myself. Doesn't Glavine pitch tonite... which means he would be ready for the weekend.

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

Another thing... a good amount of the homers that the Yanks hit over that weekend would NOT be gone at Shea. Yankee Stadium is like playing in a little league park with it being 317 and 318 down each line. At Shea its close to 340 at the foul poles. Half of the yankee homers would be fly outs at Shea.

Not like the moonshots that Hidalgo and Floyd hit. Floyd's could have cleared the Met bullpen... and Hidalgo's would have hit the scoreboard.

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

Didn't Sheffield and Sierra crush the ball on their HR's? And while Shea is a deeper park that doesn't mean they would be outs, they could be doubles instead.

And I'm sure nobody else in baseball is on steriods except Bonds, Sheff and Giambi. Come on let's get real.

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

Yeah but people are blind to the fact that steriods is a huge problem in baseball. While fans of other teams are making fun of these players they make it sound like everyone on their team is innocent. If baseball ever actually cracked down on the steriod problem I think you would see at least one name on every team in baseball.

Well that was a DUMB move by Art Howe (once again). There was talk that they should have skipped Seo's spot in the rotation a day. Why they didn't do this... I DONT KNOW. If Glavine pitches today... he is on his normal four days rest thanks to the day off on Monday. Seo then pitches tomorrow... and we get Glavine next on Sunday.

Grrrrr!!!! I hate this f'in manager we have. Now we go into the Yanks weekend with our three worst pitchers. Duh!

Bring back Valentine!

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

And I just looked at the Yanks and they have Contreas/Mussina/Vasquez up for that weekend.

The Mets's bats better show up that weekend... cause it definitely won't be a low scoring series.

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

Howe was probably thinking that he would rather have Glavine go against the Phillies since they are in front of the Mets in their division. I know you'd like to see the Mets give the Yankees their best pitching, but the Phillies are a more important series in the standings.

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

Yeah I was thinking that too. But come on. Its Mets/Yanks. And frankly... every win counts. Whether its against the Phills or the Yanks.

Re: Mets/Yanks -- Round 1.

true every win counts, but they count more in your division.

Another thing he might have been thinking is this Yankee lineup will probably score 3 runs easy off Glavine and the Mets bullpen. Might not be too easy for the Mets to score more then 3 off Javy and the Yankee bullpen. Why waste your best pitcher? Save him for the more important game against a team that he can shut down more.

Just an idea.

Your new pic reminds me of my FW and me..

For her B-Day. I went to the store and bought her a Jeter jersey as a gift. She LOVES Jeter.

Of course, after having to pick up that jersey, I went home wrapped it.. and then washed my hands thoroughly after handling it!

I touched yankee stuff.. ewwwh.
