I hope you find the dress of your dreams....you wil feel like a princess. Try to enjoy your planning. I don't know what to say about Mom, the only thing I can think is that maybe other things are going on...either in her life or emotionally. Hopefully you will be able to share some special time with her on some of the planning! Meanwhile...it is your show...enjoy the planning and remember to let us moms know how you are doing.

Thanks for calling Liz and mentioning that you and I were friends! :) I hope I find a dress. I've learned not to sweat the small stuff and to have fun!!! I tried talking to my mom and she said my dad really needs to get the car! I wish we could of moved the appt later but she doesn't know how long it's gonna take. She said she can def go next week. So I am going with my 2 friends, who are bridesmaids in my wedding. If I see something maybe Liz can hold it for me next Saturday and I will make another appt so I bring my mom. At Helens they let you take pictures of you in the dress! Which I think is awesome!!!

What are your plans for Monday night? Wanna meet up?

good luck searching for your dress on Saturday. I called Liz at helen's for you today to let her know that we were friends. She told me that you had your appt. set. I am so so sorry to hear that your Mom and sister both bailed out on you. I don't know what else to tell you about how to handle your situation with your mom. Did it help any when your sister talked to her? I think you should just calmly tell her that you are very disappointed and hurt that she chooses not to participate in this very important part of your life.
Try to have a good time. Believe me, Liz will make you feel great!!! Let me know how you make out.

I agree Jenn that you should talk to your mom about how you are feeling about her actions. She may not even realize that she is hurting you and the talk may make take an active role as the MOB. Sorry it took me so long to post!!! I know you all are waiting! I had teh best time on Saturday. I think going with my 2 best friends was a smart choice! I was at Helens for 3 hours on Saturday,.I must of tried on 25-30 gowns. They kept on handing me more and more. I had one friend help me out of teh dress while the other got the other one ready to be put on! The second dress I loved. It was beautiful! It had sleeves at the top, A-line with beautiful detail in the back. But I kept looking still. I had my heart set on the #2 dress. The last dress I tried on was THE DRESS!!!! I didn't want to look any further!!!! It's A Maggie Sottero. It's sleeveless with a sweetheart neck line. A-Line. It's in 3 layers on the dress..It's harexplain. A corset which makes me look even smaller! I love that! A long train with beads and squence and detail on it. The top of te dress has detail on it too! My best friend ran and took a tiara off teh rack while my other friend put the veil on me! I knew then it was the dress. I stood on the podium just staring and then moved out of the room and looked at myself for a long time. I knew in my heart it was my dress!!!!

Next Saturday I am bringing my mom and my sister t see the dress. I will then put a deposit on it!

I know you all are dying for photos! My laptop is being fixed and it's going to take 10 days before I can get it back. So I have to use my parents to checl all e-mail and do research..it *****!

But I do have my camera still with the phtoos. I will upload them tomorrow morning and post them from my office!!

Helens Bridal is an amazing store! The staff was so friendlly and nice! I was able to look through dresses and not have an associate breath down my neck. Liz was a sweetheart!! I would recommend Helen's Bridal to any bride out there.

My dress is $1099, plus I get $100 off. So it's not too bad, I have my heart set on this dress. This is theress I want! I don't want to look any further!!!!

Good morning Jenn, I am so happy that you found your dream dress. Maggie makes beautiful gowns and that price can't be beat. I am sure your mom and sister are going to love it too. How can they not when they see how happy you are in it. Your two girlfriends are wonderful friends for spending all that time with you, now you can take your mom and have the gown ready for you to put on for her to see. Can't wait to see the pics.

I just went to the website and that gown is absolutely gorgeous. Which color are you getting it in. Can you tell I'm bored at work today?
