We don't need to do it in the Bronx at all, just if it's in Nassau or wherever, it will probably be at a restaurant

Sassy the Bx would be fine. This would be great! I lost my father 2 years ago and I truly have tried to blockout the thoughts of him not being there to walk me down the aisle or our dance. This would be a great outlet. Thank U!

I live in Brooklyn so the Bronx is okay for me as well!!! I am open to other locations though!! Wherever it is, I'm pretty flexible!!!

thank you so much. i lost my mom less than a year ago, and i so need this! not to cry, just to know i'm not alone. i haven't had that 'mother of the bride' stuff happening for my wedding, and it hurts when it feels like everyone is talking about their mom and the planning. i'm sure losing a father is the same, and my heart truly is with those of you who have. thanks for the idea and planning. if you need help, i'm your gal!!!!!!

Please count me in. Dad passed away 8 months ago, in March, just after we got engaged. It was so sudden. I try not to think about it, but I think this would be good for me.

amidila, I felt the same EXACT way !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cried one time hysterically when I had to go into a shop by myself. It's hard. But it's great when we can all comfort each other.

PinkRose, I feel your pain. My Mom passed suddenly too, so I know how you feel. I am glad you will be joining us.

The time is near ladies. I just want to make sure we are all still up for our first GTG so the planning can begin.

I'm thinking of dates Mid- Febuary to Mid-March, probably a Saturday afternoon.

Please make sure you have all voted for the location . Please ignore the previous link and re-vote on this link. I have narrowed it down to the restaurant or library - both in Nassau.

Wow... I cant believe how many of us there are... I really felt like at 26, I was the only one... I lost both my mom and my dad within the last year and 7 months... mom was June 2002, dad was Jan 2003...(6 months apart)... this whole wedding thing has been bitter sweet... its just great to have support! Count me in!!!!

i would like to cxome but you ladies can choose whether or not i should - i am lucky to have both of my parents alive but dh's mom (with whom i was extremely close) passed away the day after our 'one more yr til we get married' and its been so hard....i would love ot come but realize it might not be 'fair'....
