Check out Times Square Orchestra.
We booked them and really love them.
Can't wait to dance!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you can get Times Squre Orchestra - DO IT!!! IT was the best decision of our wedding. They were awesome and nearly a month later people are still talking about how fun the party was. Do it if you can, and fm for prices if you need! Good luck!
We are using them too!!
They played at my friend's wedding last summer and they were awesome!!!!!!!!

We've got Code Bleu booked (skyline orchestras) and have heard rave reviews of them as well.
Have been to see them at a few showcases and they were great each time.
I have heard them at weddings...excellent choice!

Re: Music Bands
We went and saw a good number of bands.. We also know some people who play in some of the bands and I play a little myself...I have to say NYC Swing is on a whole other Level..... You can't go wrong, there's a lot of good bands in the area - East Coast is REALLY good and I hear great things about Code Bleu....
NYC Swing is pricey - But, I'd definitely call them and see what they can do, it seems like they can really help you out on a Day wedding, offseason - or maybe less pieces..
We signed up for 9 pieces and Joe, the guy we were working with just came down ANYWAY!!!!!! So, that made 10....
People have said they have never seen a dance floor so packed the whole time and how the band really got everyone into it and never stopped on a dime as some bands do, changing the mood.... Almost eveyone I talked to after the wedding started off with 'Man, that band was good'...They really work the crowd and are A++++ Proffessional in dealing with, unlike some bands we talked to....
You deal with THE players - Steve and Joe instead of some guy who runs a business putting bands together.....
I can't say enough good things about them - I wanted to call Joe from the airport and thank him and tell him we owe him more tip!!!!

Which band did you have? I'm looking at East Coast. I'm in Seattle, so if you have any advice, I would LOVE it!!!! We're stretching our budget on the music as it is, and NYC Swing and Times Square Orch. are REALLT out of the budget, but ECB is more reasonable in price. We want swing and motown and lots of dancing!
THANKS!

Re: Music Bands
What I found was that with a Day wedding NYC Swing was much more in line with East Coast..... If you have a Day wedding or an 'Off Time' I'd give NYC Swing a try and see if they can help you...
If not... East Coast is a GREAT Band as well. I think we talked before - I have a friend who started with East Coast years ago - They're Great people and great musicians and you can't go wrong with them.
Our Wedding was a Day wedding and we were able to work with NYC Swing, if it was a night wedding on a Saturday I'm sure we would have gone with East Coast and been happy as well....
For some bands, Day weddings or night wedding make a difference - Some bands can do 2 gigs in 1 day - I didn't care since mine was 1st and if they got tired it would be later...
Some bands only have the resourses to handle 1 gig a day and there's not much of a price difference, if any.
Best Wishes!!!!!
