Need help on how to make a Wishing Well. . .

Anyone have some creative idea's?

I saw something on google about using a laundry basket for the well and a mop and a broom but I can't get the page to load and I don't know how to put it together!

Use a wicker laundry basket., you can ribbon the Broom to the back of the Laundry Basket and tie it in th back with a bow. Put lots of ribbon on it and you can tape it on the bottom. On the inside of the basket write something creative for people to put goodies in there..it will look cute.

I have pics in my album of the wishing well my FMIL made for my shower. She used a laundry basket, mop, broom, and dish towels for the top.

Re: Need help on how to make a Wishing Well. . .

this is what i did a couple of years ago for a friends shower of which i was the MOH.

Go to target or BBB or someplace like that where you can find a clear storage bin - something kind square-ish or box-ish, with a deep lid. then get 4 empty wrapping paper rolls of all the same size. I just took the wrapping paper and rewrapped over another roll - and get some thick, wide white ribbon (any michaels or ac moore) - wrap each roll with the white ribbon (that's why you need thick, wide ribbon so you dont have to use so much). once they are wrapped, place one in each corner of the bin and secure with tape on the inside (i used white box tape). then place the lid over the rolls, it should rest at the top, so that it looks a like a well and so that there is space to put the gifts in. then i decorated the bin with garland and flowers, green ivy and such to make it look like a well - i put blue tissue paper at the bottom to look like water and hung a sign that said ' Wishing Well' - and voila, you have something that looks like a well, and doubles as storage for the bride! it was hit at the shower, sorry i dont have pics. hope this helps!

Re: Need help on how to make a Wishing Well. . .

I made one for a baby shower....I was just going to use a laundry basket, but it wasn't that big, so I decided to buy a garbage pail (which I knew she could use too!) and I put baby fabric all around it, Then I bought styrofoam pieces, wrapped them in the dame fabric and made it look like a well. I will try to find a pic...it turned out really cute!!

Re: Need help on how to make a Wishing Well. . .

my wishing well was a large basket and they decorated with ribbon in my wedding colors ~ I LOVED it and I am using it near my couches... to put some pretty snuggly blankets in...

PS It was larger than the wicker laundry basket. (that might be to small depending on the size of how many people will be attending)

Mine was a big cooler. It was great because I didn't even realize that I would need one.
