Re: NEW GTG PLACE?

ah. Yes, 2 of us are in NJ. Please don't make it too far.

I have evening plans with DH and our friends, so I need to be home before 5 pm.

I don't think we'll fill that space at Tin Alley so they'll put other people in there with us, especially on a Saturday afternoon.

I bet Macaroni Grill could accomodate us too.

Jillian's might work except I don't think we'd all have a place to sit.

But remember, I did call Cheescake and they did say it wouldn't be a problem to accomodate 20 people.

see those places always seem sooo small to me and VERY crowded
don't get me wrong...i want to go just nervous...
i guess i will call and talk with them

Re: NEW GTG PLACE?

I just wanted to toss in that it's been my experience that there will be a great long list of people, but not all of them show up for the GTG.

And, didn't Cheesecake factory say that they COULD accomodate us?

even if all 20 come, that's really not THAT big of a group.

Crowded yes, probably... but the downstairs of Cheesecake is pretty open. Let me know if you want me to go check out what the seating arrangements would be like because I can do that on my lunch hour, I don't work far from there.

OK YES that would be great if you could Sandra...i am just worried that it will be tooo crowded so that we won't be able to socialize with everyone...It would be nice if the two tables were close enough so we can talk with people at a differnt table.

If you could ask what the liklihood of that being able to happen!

And if it is ok...cheesecake it is!

Okay - I'll go on my lunch hour tomorrow (I have something I gotta do today) and I'll get back to you all. Anything in particular you want me to ask just let me know!

Re: NEW GTG PLACE?

Okay - I'm back from my mission and bad news... Cheesecake only accomodates parties of 14 or less. Guess I heard wrong on the phone or the girl didn't know.

Honestly I can see why 14 is the largest party they'll accomodate! They said they would take us and seat us, but they'd break us up into 2 groups and they wouldn't guarantee that we'd even be on the same floor.

Sooooo....looks like we do have to pick a new place!

Any suggestions?!

Re: NEW GTG PLACE?

Thanks so much for finding out for us.

There's always paparazzi - they take reservations and we've had big GTGs of about 15 people there twice.

Since I don't live out there, I don't know which other places take reservations. Anyone?

I know, so was I. I'm going to have to make DH take me there sometime soon.

Papa Razzi is 1500 Jericho Tpke, in Westbury.

According to their website, PF Changs also takes reservations. I dont' know about any of the other places we were considering.

Re: NEW GTG PLACE?

I can check and see what Tin Alley Grill can do for us... I've had large parties there before and they were very accomodating.
Let me know if that is a place you would consider.

(for those who don't know it's in Garden City on Stewart Ave, across the street from the back entrance of Roosevelt Field-not far at all from the Meadowbrook Pkwy)

Re: NEW GTG PLACE?

I vote for Papa Razzi, since Cheesecake can't take us.

I am from NJ, but I've been to Papa Razzi before, so that's do-able for me
