Re: NWR: Did anyone read this today...

Not my style, but if that's what they want then fine by me. They are saying they found themselves broke after buying a home so they had no choice, but they only got engaged 3 weeks ago, they didn't want a bigger reception obviously b/c if they did they would have saved up.

Re: NWR: Did anyone read this today...

oh i don't really think that the term 'disgusting' is offensive unless you are saying it specifically about two people unfairly...
when i agreed with what the other bride wrote (look above) i meant more that the food is disgusting which by all means it is...
there is absolutely no reason why that food needs to be so disgusting. the only reason the people who manufacture that food don't make it better for us is b/c it is cheaper and there is a larger profit margin for them if they make crap.
fast food does not have to be so bad for us but unless we all do something to prompt a change they never will.
and if you look at the majority of people who eat there--they are obese, is that sad? absolutely! but mean? not really b/c it's just a fact. 70% of people that eat there do so 3-4 times a WEEK on average--now that's disgusting.
and that's why obesity has surpassed smoking as the number one preventable cause of death in this country. to make matters worse our health system is in financial trouble-- more and more people have to put more money into their health plans at their job and a lot of that has to do with the fact that most of these people are going to the doctors and getting diseases from the fact that they are obese (ie diabetes, colon cancer, colitis, irritable baul syndrome, gaul stones, etc).
now, by all means--have whatever kind of wedding you want, especially if it saves money. but the food and the place overall itself-- TOTALLY disgusting. i urge all of you who think otherwise to watch the Documentary 'Super-Size Me' and see what kind of an effect McDonald's and the fast food industry in general has had on our society.

To really see what the industry has done to society, you're better off reading 'Fast Food Nation'. Fast Food Nation just touches the surface.

Back to the thread at hand - people can do what makes them happy. I don't really care either way.

thanks--i will def check it out. i have heard of that book but haven't read it yet. do you know the author's name??

and yeah i think they have the right to do whatever they want too but if some people think that the food, place, and fact that they go there and eat the food is gross then they have the right to feel that way also and i can't argue with them that it is not gross.

Thats the first thing I noticed and you can tell in he looks really young in the pic. Maybe thats why he suggested MC'd's

They are a less glamorous and attractive Demi and Ashton!!

Re: NWR: Did anyone read this today...

To each his own. If they had a good time, good for them. I'd prefer something small at home over a reception at McDonald's, but everyone is different. I think they probably did it for publicity more than anything else, but if they took their vows seriously, then who cares where they get married. I think the groom could've worn a regular shirt as opposed to the one with a tux painted on, but we all have a different sense of style. The one thing I find yucky is that everyone ate that cr@p so early in the morning. I couldn't imagine eating or wanting to eat chicken nuggets and fried fish sandwiches for breakfast.

Re: NWR: Did anyone read this today...

its always amazing to me how the brides that criticize so much and protray like they are so uppity are growing numbers on the divorce lists on this site and tons of them don't even make it down the aisle...Its so amusing.

I wish this McD's couple the best.

I wish them the best too, BUT..... People can criticize if they want. We all have opinions.
