I got my masters at long island university (cw post) and with all my scholarships it came out to over 21,000.....If i didnt have any scholarships it would have been over 30,000....hth...

I have one semester left for a dual masters in education. I am taking it at Adelphi, it is a 52 credit program and is costing me so much that I get sick thinking about it.

If i could do it all over I would have gone to a Cuny school, either Brooklyn, or Queens College.

I got my MBA from Dowling College while working full-time. White it was quite stressful at times it was well worth it. I was lucky in the financial aspect of it ; my company paid.

I got my MBA from Pace University in the city while working full time, it took 3 years.

It wasn't easy but, I improvded my time management skills greatly. My company paid for tuition and I just had to cover fees and books.

i got my master's in elementary education while i worked full time. it was stressful at times (mainly when papers were do because i am quite the procrastinator!), but i was able to manage both school and work at the same time. i did have to leave my job to student teach at the end of my program. i took about a year and a half to complete the 37 credit program.

i worked and did my masters at the same time... at one point, i was working, student teaching and doing my masters classes all at the same time...

i went back to school to be an art teacher... my undergrad was in journalism... i did my masters in education to get my teachers certification... i also had to take a few more undergrad classes in art for my certification... but certification regulations have changed since i got mine, so im not sure what all the rules are now...

SUNY is so much less... paying for a private school is alot. I would pick a few schools, and check their websites to see how much the charge per credit

if you're thinking about teaching, try the nyc teaching fellows - i'm considering it myself (between them and hofstra). you apply, get certified over the summer during intensive training, then start teaching and going for your masters in sept. you have to teach in a city school or 2-3 years (depending on how long it takes to finish your schooling) and you go to school full time, but you get a full teacher's salary and benefits and only have to pay 4000 to your masters. you go to the school in your district so it'll probably be a cuny school, but some private schools participate too - my cousin got her's from fordam. here's their website:

Perhaps you can get a job at the university you will attend? i worked as a hall director at Fordham part-time... in exchange, they paid for my on-campus apartment, some food money, a stipend and FULL tuition.... well worth it in the end because I wouldn't have been able to afford grad. school at that time without it.

QUEENS COLLEGE - I paid less than 20,000 for 2 master's degree... I think it was bw 185 -250 a credit

Go to a state school if you can. At Dowling I pay around $1800 for a class, it stinks!!

OMG! It was only around 900 in 1998! That is more than 50 in less than 10 years!

I went to Stonybrook for MS in Health Technology and Management. It cost me about $300 per credit. The have an MBA program as well.

i did my masters in teaching at post, very expensive, not too difficult to do while working full time, only time it got difficult was when i was student teaching and working and classes...

the MBA program is new, and its very long. Hofstra was about 20 credits less!
