So recently I've been thinking of getting a second job to ease some of the burden of paying for school and some of the excess wedding stuff I've been buying. I thought, nothing big, just a 20 hour a week retail gig. Anyway, we went to Macy's the other day to finish off our registry and we asked the manager of the Bridal and Gift Registry department walk around with us (we got kind of overwhelmed with the whole registry thing ). I told her how fun I think her job is and she said if I'm interested they have a part time night and weekend position in the department. So I'm interviewing on Monday for a job in Macy's Bridal Registry department. Fun times!

thats awesome...i started tutoring in order to get some extra cash. I would love to work in a bridal salon, it seems like such a fun job...but i'd hate to work weekends and evenings.

FH keeps trying to talk me into a second job. Keep in mind that I went to school for like 6 years and have a ridiculous amount of student debt so I WOULDN'T have to work 2 jobs.

I was like you can have a nice wedding with a poor yet thin and happy bride, or you can show up at the wedding and see your rich but unhappy and 20 pounds heavier bride who didn't have time to exercise for 5 months. Maybe after the wedding.

But the bridal registry section sounds like fun because then you can chat about weddings all night with other brides!
