i believe i just heard them say the bel aire building?? i dont know if thats right.

Yes I am on 1st ave. right here in the madness lots of sirens and helecopter noise. Its an apartment building and they are saying its most likely a helecopter no terorists.......Times like these I wish I lived back on Long Island

wow... so scary. CBS 880 said that, because of the times, NORAD is dispatching military planes - so don't be surprised if you hear or see military aircraft overheard. I got chills when I heard that. They reiterated that there is no obvious indication that this is terrorist related.

One second they're saying it was a helicopter, but air traffic control said it was a fixed winged aircraft.

Yeah its really loud I guess either helecopters or military aircrafts
I have to teach dance in NJ tonight I wonder if I should leave now there will probably be a lot of traffic

I live on 1st ave and 57th and it is crazy here right now...I can see the smoke from my apt window..such a horrible thing

I've been in a meeting for the past 2 hours, and all I see in an email from a coworker is Aircraft Crashes and New York. Totally freaks me out!!!!

We could see the smoke from our building! The people on the news seem very calm, but you can't help but get goosebumps! I hope everyone is ok and nobody was home in the apartment at the time of the crash!

I work 4 blocks from there on York Ave....its crazy over here right now....sirens and helicopters everywhere. You can really smell the smoke. Its soo sad, and really scary because of 9/11.

The eyewitness on CBS said the plane looked like it was out of control, maybe engine failure, before it crashed.

And CBS said that two people have died from the crash so far. They're not sure if they were in the plane or in the apartment building.

They are saying it was a fixed wing plane.

The FBI and Homeland Security Department are saying it does not appear to be terrorism related, just a terrible accident.
