Look into Vaso Vegal. Getting rid of caffine and drinking the amount of water you should will make a huge difference.

Did your Dr give you a beta blocker? I know they help but I could never take it due to asthma it counteracts it.

Plus seriously water made a huge difference.

Also Water is better then gatorade.

Did they recommend a tilt table test. I can recommend a great cardiologists if you think this may be a problem when you look up your symptoms.

I know how scary it was for me before I was diagnoised. I had doctor's telling me I would need a pacemaker.

I kept passing out on the LIRR.

I just got over having vertigo for 3 weeks...i had NO CLUE what was going on...went from doctor to doctor, then to the hospital...they gave me 2 IV's and actually gave me valium-which helped for a few hours but wasn't the solution. It turns out that not only did i have a severe sinus infection...but i also had an inner ear infection which totally throws you off balace..i couldn't stand straight and felt like passing out the whole time :( I would look into getting a cat scan or x-ray and see if you have a sinus infection..they can make you very dizzy!! As for a viral inner ear infection...the only thing that helps that is time (so i was told). I feel perfect now, just drink plenty of water and try to relax if you can....i think you'll be fine!

I agree with all of the 'sinus/ear infection' posts. Your equilibrium (your balance) is in your inner ear. If you're prone to sinus infections, and all that head stuff is pretty much connected, that's probably what it is - a sinus infection that has worked it's way to your inner ear. Get thee to an ENT ASAP. Clear up the infection, clear up the vertigo, feel better like a good bride2bes should! Blessings!!

why should you have to exhaust your patience, when certain things require immediate attention.what i mean is that i work in a drs. office and these days referrals are all done electronic in a matter of minutes. so i wouldn't speculate on what it is but instead pick up the phone and call today and get your referrals. if they give you a hard time ask to speak to an office manager or even the dr again. i'm sorry to be so upset but a similar situation happen to me and i was on edge for 2 wks and i got so sick and upset with waiting i demanded to speak to the dr. and they gave me the run around so i said if I didn't hear from her by 12noon i was going to write a letter to the chairman of the dept and file a complaint. The dr called and the office manager walked the results to my office. what made it worse we work for the same hospital. so consider your health and do not consider their lack of hummanity.feel better .

I called again today...got an ASWERING SERVICE (at 1:30...ok maybe they were out to lunch). I left a message...they have not called back. I spoke w/ my audiologist professor, who said it sounds like something w/ my inner ear, possibly an infection, but I need to see an ENT. Tomorrow all hells breaking loose! All I want to know is if they are processing the dumb referral! Not too difficult!

I had the very same thing once, and it was actually related to my blood sugar. Blood sugar probs run in my family, but I never had any probs until one day (I was a bit stressed out to boot) I skipped breakfast & ate a banana. Within 10 minutes, I couldn't see straight, my eyes were totally blurred, and I felt as if I would pass out any minute. When I got home, I could barely move I was so weak and fatigued. I went to the ER & was pumped full of glucose (or something like that!) It took my body nearly 3 days to recover, but since then I've gone to nutritionists who said I must avoid certain foods, and eat more protein, and eat snacks throughout the day. Did you have your blood sugar levels/history checked?
