NYS Park Wedding

I have been married for over a year but we didn't have a wedding due to military reasons. Now I'm looking to throw a small one, nothing crazy expensive (which I know is difficult in NY). So I have been thinking about Heckscher State Park or Belmont Lake, has anyone have any experience with this, or advice before I throw myself into full blown planning?
