when i booked my dj (im not in the area) he emailed me like 6 documents of song choices and reception timeline along with teh contract and i filled everything out and sent it back w/ the deposit to book, so he has had all my choices for a while now. now i can sit back w/ that. i dont HAVE to meet w/ him at all, though we prob will in like July to just go over everything one time together.

As for tuxes, we have all OOT GM. I picked out their suits/tuxes a while ago from Jims Formalwear website. And emailed then like a mth ago about getting their measurements taken and to send us the form and we'll give it to the location on LI. So then when they get in a day or 2 before ceremony, they can all go together and pick them up. We're renting.

We did our tuxes in March - just to get things off the list - guess I can be such an over achiever sometimes?? I cannot believe how close I am to DD's

ladies- now FH is asking his best men if they want to look at tuxes June 22nd!!! Do you think that is WAY too close to the wedding or is that fine? Thanks!

I'm kinda thinking I want to just go alone with FH, try some on with him, pick it out, and then his buddies can just go on their own to whatever Men's Wearhouse is near them....

nah i think thats enough time as long as u go before then with him to pick something out.

I agree - Most places want the order completely done and a deposit two weeks before the date

nope not yet- haven't heard anything but then again I could give them a call- you never know! My sisters aren't anxious...they both think it's too early. But if they were in, I'd just go by myself to see how the color looks!

I love how close we are to the big day! I'm really starting to get the DIY stuff ready, which I've been dying to do for months!

My girls dresses came in like 2 weeks ago - they were told to start fittings in june .. scary how fast everything is coming up!

I just saw this thread... I'm getting married August 2nd! Probably the only one out there since it's Thursday! But it's a destination wedding so I'm trying to give people the weekend to do fun touristy things!

As for bridesmaid dresses.... I just had to pick another dress out cause the dress I originally ordered got discontinued! So now my dresses wont in until the end of June! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out!

I ordered the dresses from a woman in Staten Island and she called me up to tell me.... They were Jim Hjelm dresses... he discontinued his entire separates line!

just bought my invites last nite. im clueless about the stamp situation..what do i need to know and start doing. i heard girls talking about having to order custom stamps from some website on here bc new wedding postage isnt out yet.

also need to find cake and flowers asap!! designs by rose is booked my day. inquiring with few other vendors now, any suggestions?? we're on tight budget w/ flowers. i havent decided whether i should just do something myself for our CPs. i feel like i never hear of ppl getting flowers for under 1500.

what do you guys think of somethiing kind of like this maybe for CP? NOT yellow votives, ivory or something.

I am ordering my invitations in the next couple of weeks - and starting to work on DIY - I just wish my FH would get his addresses together.
