Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread...
I don't know but I could ask my family. I'm doing a mini-honeymoon in Vermont the weekend of our wedding. I love Vermont and so we decided to get married on a Friday so that we have a long weekend--the Monday following is Columbus day and then a 3 weeks- 1 month honeymoon the following summer. I'm a teacher and don't want to take off so early in the year. I feel that's doing a disservice to the kids to leave them for a HM in October. When I asked Marianne about the comp HM, she said we have up to a year from our wedding date to book. So we're going to take advantage of it!

I am so excited about my reception at FT...I went to a wedding there a year ago- didn't like the cake but they assured me they've changed bakers since then..
What extras are you guys getting??
I did chair covers and will decide on Viennese at the final meeting
My enhancements are lobsters, full viennese table, chaircovers, and NYC to go cart--so far.
Might add sushi and caviar bars, seafood presentation and cigar bar- though i don't eat any seafood and hate any type of smoking!

I was just wondering what all of the Floral Terrace bride's minimums are. We are trying to work with George...We absolutely love the place, but the minimum was so high...I was just curious....
My min is 175 for a Friday night!

Hi girls-Welcome Manhattanwoman!
I went to drop a payment off last weekend and walked through the place. It had been a while since i went in there.
The tables were set up for someones wedding and looked beautiful. (even without the flowers there yet)
The people who work there were so nice when we were poking around-
I am psyched!

Hey Marcela.
Does FT supply bathroom baskets? Also, did you take family portraits? If so, where in FT did you take those? (maybe you took them at the gazebo in Garden City, tho?)
i went there last night for my plans and to pick out the menu. i asked about bathroom baskets and attendants. there are bathroom attendants and baskets. but i think the baskets are small, not to much in them

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread...
Is anyone hoping that the sparklers can make a comeback at this venue???I know about the new fire laws and all, but Marianne told me that by the time I get married ( a year from now) that maybe it'll be offered again. I know someone who had them , just recently saw her wedding video and it was AWESOME! They came on when the couple entered the room! What an IMPACT!
Thanks NOVBRIDE! I'm glad to be here!
TIVOGLIOBENE-- I have a payment due tomorrow. Maybe I'll take a ride over there today, if my FH comes home from work early. I'm a Manhattan gal who doesn't drive!

OK Q's!!!Who is everyone using for photo/video, limos and music???
I've booked with Atlantis Limos, but have doubts, so I may just cut my losses ($300) and go with a limo place in Bklyn.
Saw Deja Vu (FT photo/video vendor), liked them, but not sure yet.
Meeting with Classie Sounds(Dj's) next week.

Photo/Video- Duet....girl, they are awesome! We booked them on the spot...they had just the style we were looking for....check them out!!!
Music-we are definitely getting a DJ-probably gonna go with Dash of class but haven't gotten too far yet...
Limos-FH knows someone (who did his sisters wedding at sandcastle a couple years ago...I will find out the name)
Flowers-probably LA Blossom (vendor on here) or Flowers by Emil..I am deciding soon..
what else....?

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread...
I think we are going with Twelfthnight photography. WE really loved Dominic and thought his pics were beautiful. We are going to get the contract done now.It was between them & Silverfox.
We are taking pics @ Old Westbury Gardens and left them a deposit b/c I want some outdoor pics if weather is good. Otherwise they have a mansion we can use for inclement weather.
Video- he refuses to let us get one- I am trying to persuade him.
For flowers my dads girlfriend owns a florist.
For a dj we are going w/ Bravo Sounds. Theyare awesome and have the regular music as well as greek & italian stuff.
Limos I am working on now and have no clue.

OK--ARE WE ALL GREEK AND ITALIAN????
are these vendors from LI?
I may surprise my dad with a Greek band, but I also wanted to include music by my grandfather (his dad and clarinet player) who past many years ago. We have his music on tapes. What do you think?
BTW--just got FM from a vendor who said the FT has great food!!!!!!!
LOOKS LIKE WE MADE A GREAT CHOICE WITH FT!!!!!!!

Pretty much! Yes, all on LI. Oh wait, Flowers by Emil is in Brooklyn.
That is a great idea to include music from your grandfather....just make sure there is a good sound system since music is on tape.
Yipee! I knew I didn't get that 'feeling' when I left FT for the first time for nothing!!!!
