Ok grooms cakes are a relatively new idea and I hear it is very popular down south.
Ok we were good until you said Yankees...I am a die hard Mets fan hahaha j/k
This can take place at RD or reception (ive seen both) It is supposed to be a nice gesture for the groom since weddings are usually all about the bride....I suppose you can have a bride's cake too....don't go crazy!!!!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread...
YEs I guess it is popular down south. I recall watching the movie Steel Magnolias where they had an armadillo blood red grooms cake!Actually the Yankees cake would be a cake for me and him. We are both die hard fans!
Gotta give credit to the METS --they did sweep us!
That's OK cause we swept the RED SOX!

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread...
Hey girls!! Thanks for all the good wishes! I just got back from my honeymoon! I will write a full review later but I have to tell you how AMAZING the Floral Terrace was. I had the best day of my life. My family and friends cannot stop talking about the place. The food and service were so incredible. They can't get over the quality and quantity of the food that was served. I may be one of the only brides that actually ate at her wedding so I know first hand. They gave my husband and I a tray with all 5 entrees so I tried everything, and then they gave us food to go home with. Before cocktail hour and the Viennese hour, Andreas (who was amazing by the way) took us to see everything set up before the guests came in. I have been to a lot of weddings and I have never ever seen so much food at a cocktail or Viennese before.People were so impressed. The cigar bar was also worth the money, my family loved that!! Andreas was so attentive and knew exactly what was going on at all times, he even came out to greet us when we arrived. The room looked absolutely beautiful, and they listened to all my special instructions like not fanning the napkins because of my low centerpieces, and my cake came out beautiful!!!!!! When I saw the room for the first time with my centerpieces and hundreds of candles glowing it was like a dream.I will post pictures later. Let me know if you have any questions.!!!

Are any of you doing themes at your wedding? I am having a difficult time finding invitations that I like & go with the ambience of the Floral Terrace. Can you post pics of your invitations?? TIA

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread...
I am so glad you had a great day Michelle...can't wait for pics!As for invitations/themes, I think anything elegant/classy/simple/sophisticated would work...I haven't decided on mine yet but they will most likely be very simple elegant and probably square.
