Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hi Ladies,Just curious as to which florist you are using or have used for your wedding? I was told to go to a place that is close to the Floral Terrace, since there are delivery fees. Please let me know which you think is best....we are at a budget of $1500-2500.
Thanks!!

at the time of my wedding..
They did provide direction cards & seating cards, both of which I used.
They did not provide menus (I made my own..actually my friend did it for me) & bathroom baskets (my friend loaned me hers).
I suggest asking them about it though, in case something changed!
And you made an AWESOME choice of RH, your wedding will be incredible!!!!

Woohoo! I just read your post on the CHs you visited. I totally agree with you. Floral Terrace is awesome. =) If you taste the suckling pig at the tasting, let me know what you think. FH really wants it, but one of his friends told us not to get it.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Hello!Just reserved Floral Terrace for 9/14/13.
We will be setting up our tasting soon.
Love the space. The history and uniqueness of it was very appealing.
Also liked that it had a very NYC, over the top, feel which all my family from Kansas will love.

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
So we went to the tasting. And.. it was a bit mixed. The wedding being held was a much less elaborate reception than the one we are planning, and Frank did say several times that the food would be much different.
We saw the cocktail room all set up and it was very pretty.
Everything we tasted was fine, and presented very well. Most everything was a bit cold, though, so that was a concern. They were very attentive and Frank spent a lot of time chatting with our family, which was very nice.
The more expensive dishes, the veal chop, etc were especially good.
The ballroom looked lovely, but I still get a slightly 'oh wow the ceiling is so low' feeling when I walk in.
The bathrooms were ok, I would definitely want to add flowers and more ammenditees in baskets for the ladies.
Also, the attendent in the ladies room seemed half asleep and just sat there when I went through.
MINOR MINOR things(except the food being a bit cold) So I think I am just second guessing our decision right now!
Thoughts??

Re: Official Floral Terrace Thread!
Well...realize in the ballroom the food comes out right fromt he kicthen. We had out tasting ont he cocktail food level and they had to bring down from upstairs and it sat for a little bit so it wasn't piping hot when we went. My ciusin got married there and the food was HOT!If you get a feelign the ceiling is too low for you then thats not so good. I love the intimacy of the room and the whole idea that it used to be a theater, hence the shape of the room. To me it's very posh and coola nd I love that the dance floor is higher up and seperate. We are portuguese and our dancing is too much to have the dance floor right by the tables. LOL
If you don't love your venue then don't do it. You have to be comfortable enough with your choice. Or go back and explain to Frank the food was cold and the bathroom attendant was sleeping liek and see what he says. I am sure he will fix things and maybe you can go back for a seond smaller mini tasting so that he can show you its the right place for you. Either way you should feel relaxed about hwere you have it and really love it!
